So I'm army living on an AFB, I went through the gate on my bike in dc's one time and the guy made a huge hassle about it. So I been wearing my military boots until today, when I bought a pair of over the ankle shoes with actual ankle support. Go through this time and decides they don't count as sturdy. Fucking what!! They're literally more sturdy than my military boots. Not to mention it doesn't even matter, cause if I go down neither are going to protect much.
Both times this happened there was another guard there that almost stopped him from giving me shit cause I'm trying to follow the rules while remaining comfortable. They had this look at him like, really guy.

Yeah, the NCs seem to be what you're looking for. I too was looking at the NC700S mainly for commuting but I don't really need the extra storage - I'll just bring a backpack if I need to - and found it a bit too dull. But yeah, it felt absolutely perfect for commuting and should be great as a first bike.

Because those ones are more useful, for the harm they do. Caffeine and (isolated) nicotine are non issues. Alcohol is very harmful to developing brains and has high abuse potential, though not so much as weed, but the high subsides after an hour after which the druggie becomes a normal person again.

Just got my bike a week ago, and my shifting is generally rough. Having a hard time predicting RPMs which results in my up shifting and being ~500-1000 RPM off when I let the clutch out. I don't stall or grind anything. Will shifting like this cause any damage? It's a CBR500R.

I'm the new rider with the sv650 who posted in the last /dbt/ and somebody asked about frame sliders.

I bought frame sliders and the rear spools for the rear stand. Since the sliders were ~26 bucks CAD, they're on the lower end. Krator was the brand.

I only have 2 bikes, a WR450 with meme tires/wheels and an 1190r adventure. Once the big bike is moving at all you don't really feel the weight. It'll take a little bit to get used to but man do the heavy bikes ride nice and smooth,

abs is also useless in a corner since its function relies on wheel slip which will end your turn real quick
so far suzuki has had the most useful abs ive found, it comes in soft and isnt overly intrustive and cuts back out fast.
honda is soso, a little too aggressive and takes to long to go away
