Lads, I'm still quite smashed that the FZX750 wasn't sold in Europe and is only available as a unicorn grey import. Is it troublesome owning unicorn grey imports in an unofficial market in terms of parts? Are there any similar naked-cruiser hybrids from other Japanese manufacturers?

Fuck everything!
I'm fucking tired of this shit.
So I'm army living on an AFB, I went through the gate on my bike in dc's one time and the guy made a huge hassle about it. So I been wearing my military boots until today, when I bought a pair of over the ankle shoes with actual ankle support. Go through this time and decides they don't count as sturdy. Fucking what!! They're literally more sturdy than my military boots. Not to mention it doesn't even matter, cause if I go down neither are going to protect much.
Both times this happened there was another guard there that almost stopped him from giving me shit cause I'm trying to follow the rules while remaining comfortable. They had this look at him like, really guy.
Is this one guard just jealous of bikes or something.
>>
>>17468031
>>17468034

Just wear ear plugs. I own a Schuberth C3 which is one of the quietest helmets around and the wind noise is still loud and annoying as fuck so I still wear plugs.

does /dbt/ have an opinion on horrible moped abominations, because i'm a huge poorfag with some savings and a can-do attitude and i want to build a tomos dual sport thing, costing no more than 300$ total

-tomos A3 or BT frame
-old T12 or similar gas tank bolted and routed into the internal gas tank, sort of like the LX
-offroad tires, or the closest thing i can find
-ignition upgrade, installing a USB charger and replacing the old bulbs with LEDs
-cutting off all the excess metal, torn between doing a cutdown vespa style thing or replacing it with plastic sheeting

i know this is unorthodox but whatever, i work with what i have available, just wondering if you guys have any suggestions, or you think it's fucking idiotic, which is also fine

It's a was wearing a shoe instead of a boot and that's what he was hassling me over. Basically the only difference was the sole, it's all flat. Well that and it's multicoloured. But I wear all the other gear, helmet, gloves, hi vis jacket, kevlar jeans. He just kept saying he doesn't make the rules when I asked what counts as sturdy. I just want to wear whats comfortable, especially on my feet

Are there any better (older and cheaper) options than pic related? Says 55-80mpg is possible even though its 700cc. About 8000 msrp which on one hand would be nice to own new because I know nobody has fucked with it, but at the same time kind of expensive.

alcohol and 4change have the same effects
>>

Because those ones are more useful, for the harm they do. Caffeine and (isolated) nicotine are non issues. Alcohol is very harmful to developing brains and has high abuse potential, though not so much as weed, but the high subsides after an hour after which the druggie becomes a normal person again.

Weed is only good for medical research given it's brain destroying effects and four hour high. I mean, I've done it all, but weed isn't worth it. Decriminalize it please, but hold off on the corner shops selling blunts.

Just got my bike a week ago, and my shifting is generally rough. Having a hard time predicting RPMs which results in my up shifting and being ~500-1000 RPM off when I let the clutch out. I don't stall or grind anything. Will shifting like this cause any damage? It's a CBR500R.

I'm the new rider with the sv650 who posted in the last /dbt/ and somebody asked about frame sliders.

Wearing glasses in a helmet absolutely fucking sucks. They fog up at the slightest hint of you sweating, shift around during riding and the sides of your head start hurting after about an hour.

Just buy a helmet with a drop down internal visor.

As someone who owns a 300:
Just buy a vtwin ~650 used
Examples: SV650, FZ07
You save money this way, and have a faster bike that you won't cry as much over when you crash
(You will crash or drop the bike at least once)

It usually ends up cheaper picking the pieces up seperately. If you want a one stop shop sprocket center is alright and will cut your chain to length.

The KTM ABS systems are fuckin' cool, you can turn on "supermoto" mode and it'll only do light ABS on the front wheel and let you kick the rear wheel out as much as you like.
