So which bike vibrates a womans clit the best? A big single at low revs is going to give it a good pounding but an i4 is going to buzz it good and proper.

How does seating position affect clitoral stimulation? Upright versus hunched over. Pillion versus pilot.

If the bike is particularly loud will it enhance or reduce the level of enjoyment?

A study must be conducted.

yo i'm new to riding and picked up a 99 zx6r. i have rode it a shit ton. guy i bought it from said the clutch will need to replaced soon so i'm not sure if this is the problem or not. but what happens is sometimes out of nowhere, when i try to accelerate, the rpms raise and it doesn't match the speed or anything. it doesn't want to give the right power or whatever. basically it doesn't have the punch at all. it's fucked.

>>
>>17079209
Make an instinct of modulating the rear brake to control and bring down a wheelie even before you hit balance point. That way when you go past balance point you won't panic and throw the bike away like a scrub.
>>
>>17079209
Get your front wheel up and then bring it down with your rear brake.

>>17079209
It should be instinct.

Because trust me. You don't wanna clamp that front brake, locking the wheel... and then have it touch the ground while yer still death gripping that brake lever.

Not fun things happen.

Just keep practicing small wheelies and stomping the rear.

first of all, congrats on the bike. those 90s sport bikes have a certain aesthetic to them that looks fuckin siqq. i love them. is the 99 carbureted or did they have fuel injection by then?

second, that is your clutch slipping. you need to replace it obviously. you should also replace the clutch springs.

whatever you do, DO NOT PAY ANYONE TO DO THIS. IT'S EASY AS FUCK AND CAN BE DONE IN LESS THAN 30 MINS

ALSO, remember to buy a new clutch cover gasket BEFORE you do the job. The old one is going to be deteriorated and wont be reusable.

so your shopping list should be the following:

1. clutch plates
2. clutch springs
3. clutch cover gasket

and you'll be good to go. you should also pick up an oil pan and some additional oil because the clutch sits in a basket full of oil so this will drain out when you take off the cover.

alternatively, you can just do an oil change at the same time.

requesting advice from gymkhana bros about how to do tight low-speed turns on a sport bike with clipons

in particular, I vaguely remember one of you guys saying something about how the real pros don't actually slip the clutch but mostly use the rear brake and the throttle contrary to what they told us in MSF, is this true? elaborate?
>>
>>17080212
Hey that image is from my local Craigslist
Nice
>>
>>17080212

Sliding the back end mid-turn by using the rear brake is a rather advanced maneuver and it's more for high speed/racing than low speed. All you need to make a tight turn at public road speeds is good throttle control and the right lean angle.

Real pro's being actual gymkhana riders?

I have no idea but I don't see why you couldn't use throttle and brake alone if you were doing gymkhana speeds.

In MSF and other beginner training stuff they're teaching you how to do these maneuvers slowly with control, not as fast as possible which is what gymkhana is about. Feathering the clutch is one way to keep your speed even lower than first gear idle.

If you're just above idle speed in first gear, yet still in the "lugging" range it does help to drag the rear brake and give it a bit more gas to smooth it out.

If you're doing a u turn from a stop it will probably help to just drag the clutch until you straighten out tho.
>>
>>17080333

Second gear is usually the first to go on an abused gear box. If you can do the work yourself it will only cost a couple hundred dollars in parts to rebuild your gearbox. Or maybe you weren't quite in fourth and it was a one time thing. Still, it's not the end of the world if you've got some worn gears.
>>
>>17080333
sometimes this happens if I don't click the shifter all the way up so the gear doesn't fully engage. Try making sure you're really pushing the shifter all the way when you shift.
>>
>>17080212
I learned to ride from a motorcycle cop, my uncle. You drag the rear brake because it will slow you down and tighten your line without pulling your bike over like the front brake does. This is at parking lot speeds. Oh and it keeps the bike stable because you can have the engine reved up

>600-650 gets rounded up to 700
>now we're at 800
>BUT A LITER BIKE IS DEFINITELY TOO DANGEROUS
>>
>>17080931
What im riding is a 800 v twin
All loud and no go
That and i found out i like cornering more than i thought i would.
>>
Bored of your fz6 yet kitty?
I was looking at them a while ago but i dont know if maybe i should go straight to the fz1.
>>
>>17080838
I know that the most valuable thing on the street is me
but by that logic I should spend every penny I own on exotic safety gear
the cost/use function has a diminishing return and I wonder if a suit for 150€ or 200€ is maybe not worse than a 300€ suit (in the important aspects like burning and tearing)
>>
>>17080940
Well now you know how to ride and how you like to ride.
Now you can get the bike you want without killing yourself.
You made the right choice, even if you dont like it right now. Youll be thankful for it later.

as a child I always thought Ducati bikes looked really amazing "cool"
now I just find them so fucking boring they almost make me puke

That make me feel a little better, thanks.
Logically the next step is turbo busa.

I never really liked the older ones desu, knew someone with a 916 or 996 (can't remember) when I was a kid and I thought it was ugly as shit. Then I grew up and bought this 899 and realized I've had shit tastes all along.
>>

I built the Tamiya model of this and every time I see one now I feel like I know it inside out, as if I owned one

Is two brothers the honda of exhausts?
>>
>>17080863
Yup everytime I'm in the southwest i see freedum riders wearing bandanas in lieu of helmets. Shit even half tops are sketchy to me.

>>17080957
No, when you learn to differentiate quality from crap it's really not that difficult. Don't buy top end gear unless you have disposable income and don't expect mechanix to save your hand. Simple right?
>>
>>17081001
I need to order that kit, I'm used to bigger models like gunpla and military stuff though. So the small little details of a motorcycle kind of scares me a bit.
>>
>old vehicles have cheaper insurance

why?
>>
>>17081002
Since I was a kid I liked ducati a lot, but I also like aprilia
>>
>>17081002
Novemb-oh you said brand
>>
I've been wanting to put a low-mount front fender on my DR650, since the stock one flaps around madly at highway speed and I don't do much dirt riding anyways so mud buildup isn't a concern

It looks like other people have either mounted it off a fork brace or with side bracket things. Anyone know what the best way to go about this would be?
Pic related is what I'm going for (ignore the pig ugly fairing)
>>
>>17081036
That poor thing looks scared
>>17081032
Because newer vehicles are worth more = more cost to fix or replace
>>17081035
Get out of here with your shit taste
>>
>>17081035
November isn't a valid answer for Italian bread either.
>>
>>17081032
Probably because fewer people crash older vehicles. Also those that drive them tend to be not hoonigans.
>>
>>17081032
Because they're less valuable and eventually less frequently used and more frequently owned by people who want to preserve them.
>>
Good afternoon /dbt/, I come from a far-off land on a quest to build a sick gold-wing bobber. To that end I'm requesting any info-dumps or mythical rumors you might have regarding chopper-style minimalist wiring. I know there are some diagrams out there but I'm struggling to find anything comprehensive. Thanks in advance
>>
>>17081002
Moto guzzi. I like how their engines look on their bikes. Fairings are always second for me

the 999 is kinda impressive.

its got this mix of the classic steel-tube frame air-cooled ones and the modern fairings style.

what. Most ~20 year old cars/bikes I see are owned either by teens who don't care for them and ride recklessly, or old poor people who never learned to drive.
>>
A while ago on here I saw a sort of flowchart for picking out a bike that narrowed down the best bikes for the style that you want. Does anyone have a link for that?
>>
>>17081298
no. what kind of bike do you want?
>>
>>17081318
I have a coworker that wants to get a sport bike, but knows nothing. Someone told him he should get a Ninja 250 for his first bike, but I think that is retarded advice considering hes 6'2'
>>
>>17081334
A tall guy could still ride a ninjette if he wanted.
He might want to consider an SV650 or Ninja 650 though.
Wouldn't recommend a supersport tho.
>>
>>17081085
but that cyclops eye
>>
>>17081334
Ninja 500, SV650, or a sub-litre sport-tourer would be fine. Really, you should take him to a dealer to sit on bikes in addition to the advice in the sticky.
>>
>>17081383
I am 6'3' and been on a 250 Ninja. I had a blast whipping it around but I feel like my center of gravity is way higher than it should be and the handlebars are at my knees. I wasn't able to even lean forward, the front windshield was at my chest if I did.

In b4 you utterly fail and list a half stripped gold wing on cl as a cafe project

e.g.if you have to ask you're already fucked

> cafe racer, kys
>>
>>17081416
this is what I told him: go sit on them and see what you like. I also told him I was eyeballing that FZ-09 last time I was there and to check it out.
>>
>>17081056
this guy >>17081445 is right. Carbed bike wiring is easy af. Your bike is going to turn into a clusterfuck if you do anything to it.
>>
>>17081448
fz09 is a squidmachine. would not recommend to beginners.
>>
>>17081469
oh interesting, accidental wheelies?
>>
planning on buying a used bike. pretty new to this but have ridden before. anyway, what are some things to check after i get a used bike. maybe just replace the oils, clutch, spark plugs etc?
>>
>>17081493
same boat as you, but I actually just got my first bike and I just replaced the oil, oil filter, and I plan to replace the spark plugs, air filter, and brake pads. Don't know if I want to try to fuck with the brake fluid yet though
>>
>>17081493
Are you tech savvy? It's best to assume that the prev owner neglected it and just do all the tune-up procedures. Get the service manual for it online or for 30 bucks and just go through the list of shit the manual says to do.
>>
>>17081486
From what I've heard about the bikes, yes.
I've gathered that Yamaha gave it really short gearing, a short throttle turn, lots of tork, and a high center of gravity so it constantly wants to wheelie and gives the illusion of being faster than it is. Also the brakes and suspension are supposedly shit.
>>
>>17081493
First of all check that everything works and make a list of anything that doesn't. Check all the controls, brakes, switches, levers, lights, etc all function as they should. I've encountered lots of used bikes that have fucked up wiring or lighting from people attempting to install chink fender eliminators or integrated turn signals.

Make sure the engine runs right. It shouldn't stall if you give it some gas off idle.

Then check/replace all fluids: oil, coolant, brake fluid, gear oil (if applicable). Check brake pads. Check your throttle and clutch cables.

I wouldn't consider a clutch to be normal maintenance. Just diagnose/replace it if it isn't working right.
>>
>>17081535
The brakes and suspension. Are only shit if youre fat.
Im 170 lbs and it felt fine. Not ss good but fine for a well priced naked.
>>
>>17081493
>Replace spark plugs
I don't know why this is such a major thing. They either work or they don't. I'd say 99% of sparkplug sales are avoidable
