if the Lowes flatbed driver is still around, I interviewed with them today. it turns out they had goofed on their listing and actually only had a part time opening. but the manager liked me enough that he went and talked to HR after I left and had them come up with a full time position. they called me and offered me the job 20 minutes after I left. but unfortunately, the pay was nowhere near where I need to be.

We had a bunch of RT sets delivered from Kenworth a couple of years back, every single PM had a major fault within the first 10,000.
We're talking Differentials, Driveshaft/Uni Joints, fucking transmissions - every single set had a major issue and Kenworth fucking fought our warranty claim every step of the way.

Kenworth is garbage, the only reason they leave the factory is because upper management/acquisitions don't seem to understand the long term cost benefits of having trucks that don't nuke themselves every three trips.

How does time off work? Some forums and sites I've checked say before a year you'll probably get 1-2 days off every three weeks* , but it goes up slightly past a year since that's the magic number.
What do you guys even do with your money? I know you essentially have to make trucking your life when you go OTR on a single or heavier, assuming you don't have a carrier that gets you home nightly.
If you're home less than half a week a month, you probably save it. Right? What do you do with it if you have nothing to really do with so little home time?
