Made almost a hundred bucks tonight thanks to some based as fuck old guy in the rich area giving me a $20 tip.

I used to do the whole shuttle driver thing back when I was working at a dealer.

I was driving a guy home and on the way there was a residential neighbourhood with parked cars on the right hand side. Road had enough of a bend where you couldn't see too far ahead and big ass vehicles let you see fuck all past them. Mid way through that street a ball appears from the parked car side. I imminently stopped, sure enough half a second later a kid comes running out with both hands up, had no clue I was there.

This was around lunch time so it was plenty bright outside but shit.. the kid just darted out

Yeah accords and civic sedans and coupes since 7th gen are like TARDIS. Huge on the inside. I remember going inside my friends 7th gen accord sedan. Shit was clean as fuck and felt as big inside as my dads terrain. Not as big as the old blazer though. I miss that thing, that was back when gm had decent engines and a civic coupe competitor. all you needed to worry about on those was dumb placements and terrible electronics.
Also why is there a huge resonator for the intake and turbo on the new 1.5t. And these placements of wires and tubes im glad can be relocated away from the valve cover.

Got my ECU plugged up and I haven't heard any bouncing so far. Hondash not detecting any vtak though. Do these USDM ECUs need a VTEC oil pressure sensor to work properly? Mine just has a bolt there. Maybe my buddy has one sitting around.

CVT is the only thing available on the 4 door i own. It's the blue 2016 EX-T with the lights on.

CVT is far more consistent and better everything else. Since the pedal, shift gate, engine, electric steering and transmission are all computer controlled it's pretty smooth for normal driving. It's literally drive by wire but doesn't feel disconnected from driving.

I test drove both before I got mine. I'm not a transmission hater, it just simplifies it for me.

I'd be more nervous if it were a CVT. I never heard many good things about them aside from what 10th gen Civic anon has said about his. The transmission in my 94 Corolla is fucking good, though. Still smooth as butter unlike my old Civic which was getting a bit rough and sluggish.

Put a battery in the white CRX and tried to start it.
As soon as you crank it would make a large click sound and the electronics would die. (Exactly what happens when something is shorted)
Knowing that the previous owner was dicking around with the distributor, I opened it up and found that the ignition coil went kaboom a while ago. Luckily the dude included a completely brand new distributor. Since it wasn't the same kind, I ended up having to swap it over, but now it's fixed.

Now when you turn the key, the lights work properly, you can hear the fuel pump prime, and when you crank it it's fine.

However, still no start, so I'll have to check it out more tomorrow.

Did a shit load of cleaning today, both outside and inside, and fixed some miscellaneous shit like the gas flap release and the trim on the roof being the wrong color.

So I have a 2013 Civic EX and a lot of coworkers and friends have been recommending that I mod it. Now I don't know anything about vehicle modification but since she's now at 110km I figured I should give it a shot and try modifying it.

They've recommended I do things like changing out the brakes, brake pads, lowering suspension and adding filters to it. Any recommendation from you guys on what I should do? Also which brands or makes of these parts should I look at?

Put a flat head screwdriver in the other side and hammer it out. That's what I do. Should be able to get the strut out after you take the upper ball joint off. I'd avoid messing with the lower ball joint. They're a pain. Be careful with the upper joint threads.

a stock pm6 won't run a 1 wire. technically speaking the 1wire o2 is a narrowband sensor with signal voltage to .5-1 volt. the 5 wire is a wideband o2 with voltage .5-5 volt for greater resolution. you should look into converting to 5 wire before you burn up that very rare pm6.

Side note, you can run voltages that are out of the range of the ECU inputs. When you run a wideband you can do a mod to let the ecu recognize the full 5v and nothing goes kaboom. CMOS based shit tends to run 5v anyway

Yeah it's a Honda recommended thing. Transmission in these are really tiny since they have to fit between the FWD axles. I think at max 3 quarts? My manual D16 trans holds about 2 and a half quarts of Honda MTF. They all have dipsticks so it's easy to keep track of.
