Icon is my preferred brand mostly because I'm about that big boy life and they are the most generous cuts for most of their products while still offering really good protection. That being said their style appeals to me as well and these gloves defiantly fit that criteria for me. They're comfortable for my fat fucking hands and I like the way they look. I'll admit the bits of titanium on the fingers are a bit over the top but I like the overall look, fit, and quality of their gear.

I'm a second-year rider on an R3, started out on a Ninja 250. For any anons unfamiliar with the inside-baseball, the Ninja 250 is ranked somewhere in the 3-5 range of best bike, while the R3 and GS500 duke it out over the 1 and 2 slots.

I was always impressed by the performance of the Ninja 250, but it just isn't in the same league as my R3. The drop-off in engine performance when you leave the 250cc class is pretty steep, and it must be even steeper when you look at sub-250cc bikes. I mean this in the least arrogant way possible.

The consensus on /dbt/ is that most of the value-added comes from the additional low-end torque. I can't speak to the quality of other bikes, but the dominance of the R3 self-perpetuates pretty easily. Knowing that I'm riding the best performing bike for its class is a comforting thought.

Should I "upgrade" to the 80 and just not fill it to the brim?
Does seem like a good idea to have extra space and not need it as opposed to needing it and not having it...

I go to a university in southern california that's about 40 minutes away from my house... I live on campus but keep my bike at home because there is nowhere secure to store it on campus and I'm afraid of it getting stolen by mexicans that run them back across the border, there were 50 cases of motor-vehicle theft last year and i've seen a couple fb posts recently on the rider groups saying to look out for their bike that was just stolen (from campus)

emissions.

>You may also feel some hesitation getting back on the throttle. For best ride-ability ideal fuelling ‘wets’ the cylinder head intake ports, which smooths out initial throttle application. However, the latest emissions laws also remove this ‘wetting’ strategy, adding to the harshness of modern motorcycle throttles.

EFI throttle where they don't give a fuck about emissions, like the K5 gsx-r1000 are practically perfect.

Not every bike is going to be their flagship, not every bike is going to pass emissions until X criteria, different regions selling against different competition, pricing and blah blah.

You bastard, I hope you feel bad.
This is what it feels like.
>>

Its cheaper than both, stronger than the triple has japanese reliability and you are an idiot.
>>
>>16891871
And I rather look at shit than that ugly mess.
>>
>>16891873
It looks better than that godawful triple at least
>>
>>16891871
>better stuff costs more
wow what a turn of events
>>
>>16891881
That looks pretty good actually.

But I should look more into it. First I need to upgrade my storage box, so my bike can sleep in there instead of in the garden. It's not like I use it every day now. More like 2-3x a month.

Hey fellow SV anon, I think you might want to go ask this on /jp/ and make a thread on /o/, rather than here.
>>
>>16892219
I'm not nearly the best rider in DBT and i'm pretty sure I could beat the best driver on /o/ while driving their own car.

>>16892270
What do you ride? My fz07 gets here next week and I'm burning with anticipation

Yeah I'm not anything amazing but they would just get murdered on the straights.

>I'm burning with anticipation

enjoy, they have a nice engine.

>>16892282
sorry I should have clarified, I meant I'd be quicker than them at driving their own car. Just a joke at the expense of car /o/ whose main experience with tracks goes about as far as looking up toyota GT-86 and Civic times for them.

>>16892281
we'd take turns and set times I guess.

>>
An /o/ race would be a race to see who could ride a bus to the track fastest and proceed to run a lap of the track without collapsing
>>
>>16892307
They can't even drive a manual, any bike would be too much to handle for them.
