I know people who used to work for a popular brand specific dealership, i wont name it.
they'd have competitions on who can upsell the most items e.g. filters, batteries.

Many places have incentives for spotting stuff wrong which gets passed onto managers to write it up which means more money coming in and how many cars they service or fix up depending on the job. I got mine at that time, got coil overs and a good set of tires, can't into skids anymore but it grips well and zero body roll.
had mine in the rain for a few months. noticed a damp car smell after that, cleaned out the rear gutters and the boot still fills up with water- found out the previous faggot had destroyed the roof gutter, bought a car cover for about $25 to avoid paying for a couple hundred dollar plastic gutter replacement and haven't had an issue since.

Just got my 86 back with replacement engine.

Done 22,000k's.

It's a slow fucker but rn it feels like its lost a lot of its bite. Not sure if I just not use it but it feels like really slow (than usual) on take off. when you're in 50-60 and you go on the throttle the rpm needle goes fast but sometimes its really sluggish

does it need a tune or someshit? not done at toyota just local mechanic

The feeling can be described as:

- The throttle response is still perfect, when I step down the revs will respond immediately. But even though the RPM goes up I don't feel the car is really accelerating much.

- When I coast along, the car feels very heavy from the rear, like it's dragging something (decelerating feeling).

- Kinda feels like the car is excessively engine breaking

- When I first picked up the car, my head kept slamming into the seat headrest when I stepped on the gas, just felt like it had a lot of torque, but it barely does that anymore.

Only do up oil filter as tight as your hand can get it. Filter tool is for removal only.

Jack brand is largely irrelevant as you never go under a car only supported by a jack. Invest in some double pin type axle stands from supercheap rated as high as you can afford. Always chock the back wheels when jacking front of car.

Twist spark plug leads off and on don't just yank the fuckin things bro. Start with the hardest to reach plug first and always make sure you have all the tools you need before you start. Magnetic pick up tool helps or even a piece of hose to lower the new plug in depending on the depth of the plug hole
