Sounds like psoriasis.

Image search that in conjunction with penis and see if it's similar.

Either way, see a doctor, you've probably got an infection or some shit and the embarrassment of showing a doc your nasty junk is nothing compared to your dick falling off or some shit.
>>
>>16699557
I know what psoriasis is, and I don't think this is it. problem now is that I don't have enough time to go to see a doctor. I work full time and the doctors office where I live is 9-5.

What's the difference between AWD, 4WD and 4x4?

or is it just an Australian thing to call SUVs 4WD?
>>
>>16699922
Did it land on its feet.
>>
>>16701171
4WD and 4x4 are pretty much synonymous, and indicate a system where you have full-time RWD, with a transfer case providing selected 4WD, usually with a high/low gear ratio as well.

AWD can mean a range of things depending on the drivetrain in use, but is almost always 'full-time AWD', which means you can't disconnect the front/rear diffs from the driveline like you can with a transfer case. Most of these systems are FWD-biased, with a clutch-pack or viscous coupling automatically sending power to the rear wheels only when they lose traction.

Because there's so many different variations of AWD systems, it's hard to keep track of how each particular one works, whether there's front or rear bias, how the coupling/center diff works, etc.

Rule of thumb is that if it has a transfer case and the engine is mounted longitudinal, it's 4WD.

on the topic of which of these cars are/will be future classics which do you pick?
>>

VT-VF
Turbo Barra Falcons (Factory and swaps)
Toyota 86 (production will stop as soon as sales start to dip and the car is pretty old now as it is.)
>>
>>16705021

Petrol powered cars won't be around long enough for anything to really become a classic in the sense we're accustomed to at the moment.

>>
>>16705032
VT-VF Commodores will never become a classic, there's too many of them to be special and it's only going to be a tiny minority of people who do remember the special ones.

You're never gonna see Monaros or E-series HSV's going for millions.

Nobody cares about these cars in the big scheme of things. It's not like they have a particularly exciting story, or motorsport provenance or anything.
>>
>>16705032
The 86 is the most G rated boomer / P plate bait. Never will be a classic.
>>
>>16705050
i feel that petrol powered cars will be around for a long time before shifting to HCCI engines/hybrids/electrics and then finally to totally renewable energy cars. This won't be for a long time imo not for another 50 years.

I know this isn't /dbt/ but any of you guys from QLD with an R motorcycle licence?

I've had my RE licence for a few years (didn't have a bike for a lot of it) and it's time to sell my bike again so I want to upgrade my licence before selling it.

Anyway, what's involved in the R licence test?

Is it pretty much the same as the RE (emergency stop/swerve/slow speed/figure 8)?

Is there any theory?

If reliability and running cost is important to you, try to get a 4cyl one as some of the V6s had oil issues apparently. You can easily get them for under k so you're all good.

Only issues were sludging if oil wasn't done religiously, i.e. every camry. Otherwise 1mzfe is a great motor, but if you just want some tractorshit reliable commuter the 4cyl is better

The autos are good, not sure about manuals. Either way it's an econo box so things are going to be pretty soft and not powerful but that's the price of reliability.

The main problem with camrys of that age (and/or high kms) is the fact that the 5S (4cyl) and 1MZ (v6) engines begin to leak oil from every orifice, and oil leaks are usually time consuming or expensive to fix, depending on whether you work on it yourself.

Power steering pumps and racks also like to leak on those older Toyotas, same for similar era Corollas.

If you're happy to do at least some of the less intensive work yourself (e.g. oil changes, brakes, drive belts, coolant changes), then I'd go with the V6 because it's quite a nice little unit in terms of power and torque, especially if you're getting a manual - stuff like the timing belt and spark plugs will cost more, but you can offset this by doing the above-mentioned work yourself. The 5S-FE will cost less to run if you have everything done at a workshop, because it's an easier engine to work on in general, so less labor time.

>>16710194
They're alright.
>>
>>16710238
Local mechanic swears by Achilles and says avoid Nexcen at all costs. He probably is an Achilles shill though because he has fucking shitloads of new Achilles for sale in little tyre fitting room next to the workshop.

i have a dilema

Ive built my engine, assembled it and put it into the car. I bought it off a friend of a friend for $50. It has a thiccc cam which is why i bought it for cheap, but im still not sure what the specs are on the cam

Anyway, ive discovered its a solid cam and lifter set when i got it running and had hydraulic rocker arms attached, it sounded like the valve train was being raped from having the wrong rockers

I have two options, should i replace the solid cam with an equivalent hydraulic cam + lifters or should i buy some yella terra adjustable roller rockers to slap on and keep the solid cam? im at a crossroads where i have the engine re-disassembled to go either way

This guy is a fucking menace and has been doing this for years and i finally fucking snapped and did a uturn and chased him down to a X junction where he pulled up and got out of the passenger seat and without thinking just ran to the nearest post, i freaked out and naturally took off but he went and stood in the middle of the road as i turned back around to go home or just to get the fuck outa there (big mistake)

THEN what happened next is the fucking mad cunt went full mad max, grabbed a yellow Alum/steel star picket and ran out into the MIDDLE of the road as i came speeding back past the same X junction he got out at but going straight through this time, didnt know what was gonna happen so i gunned it and he aimed up this star picket and threw it at me (Big guy so it was literally rocketing towards us as we went by aiming at our heads passenger side) and it sailed over the roof and i kept going, ended up at a neibhours place and we calmed down for a couple of hours and went home im still fucking out of my mind

$250 is a good budget, $200 ballpark will get you a great cam. I'd look on dash cam australias site to find out which one is best, and do some research on the brands, before looking around. I'm sure you'll find a better deal than DCA offers, but they've got some good info on cams.

Whatever you do, don't buy the cams available in Big-W, Kmart etc. They sound good at $99 (mine actually had pretty good quality) but it shat itself a month after the warranty went. They're all made in china but try to avoid the dodgy brands.

They enforce it since it's actually been known to happen.
If he gets mad then they're defect him for everything else wrong on the car.

Same dude here, I shelled out for a Vicovation OPIA2 with a 64gb card, I'm now considering getting a Power Plus Hardwire Kit for it, it plugs into the engine and lets the cam record while parked. It would be pretty cool but I'm unsure if it's even worth it desu
>>
Day 2 here this cunt did the same thing again and is following me around boys it's happening
>>
>>16718222
i love that picture

its happening.
we've all got dinner together next week.
they're drinking, im driving.
i've never been so excited
>>
>>16719959
In the morning they'll both hate you or just hate each other. Either way you'll never seen one of them ever again.

Drinking and regret can be a powerful motivator.
>>
>>16720024
>Either way you'll never seen one of them ever again.
this is the most likely outcome. at least one will stick around though so its not a total loss.
>>
Been seeing a lot of ~2012 Volkswagen Passats going for about $10k.

Are they any good?
>>
>>16719959
So many happening

>VAG product

i mean, it'll be better than an audi s5, but still its a VAG
>>
>>16720035
Why would you buy grey VAG?
>>
>>16720035
>buy passat

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS PLEASE

What's so bad about VAG?
Are they not reliable or something?
>>
>>16720086
A home made V16 engine made of corn chips with salsa as oil would be more likely to work than anything by VAG.
>>
>>16720086

dont know much bout cars do ya?
>>
>>16720106
i would do filthy things for their v10 TT diesel motor
>>

dont worry, its already filthy due to various components leaking

20k for a touareg v10. Looking seriously into for my next car. Is there actually anything wrong with them?

oh well since you have such a well rounded opinion about why that specific model and are bad

Looking to buy a wagon but struggling with the decision.

What would the /o/z friends recommended out of a Liberty, Outback, or a Holden wagon? Probably not keen on anything Euro, though those Skodas look amusing.
>>
>Passed HART Test
>now a postie
>Ride all day on that hilarious ct/npc bike all day

it's going to the best/worst thing ever i can feel it.
>>
>>16721002
None of them.

Subarus are lolheadgasket lolCVjoints cars and Commodores are thrashed bogan chariots.

Get a Corolla wagon, Mazda 6 wagon or maybe a Lancer.
>>
>>16721013
>Get a Corolla wagon, Mazda 6 wagon or maybe a Lancer.

Corolla wagon is to old and small, heard the 6 wagons are iffy, and I already have the final model of the Lancer wagon. N
>>
>>16720918
Thats not all he sucked
>>
>>16721023
well thats most choices out then. and since no euro, looks like you're up shit creek.
>>
>>16721045

Which Euro would you recommend then? About the only thing I've found appealing would be a Volvo V60, but I'm wary of how much they cost to service and repair.

Fuck it, I'll probably end up with an ex-fleet Omega.
>>
Gday,

im keen to get into drifting but i have basically no skills or experience doing so,

obviously there is the option of an industrial area or an empty carpark late at night but if i got caught i would be basically fucking uninsurable, its hard enough to get insurance now as it is a p plater.

if i went to a skidpan day to learn, not to practice would that be a good idea or would i look like a dickhead trying shit and wasting everyones time?
>>
>>16721071
>hurr hurr I wanna be a driftor

Grow up
>>
>>16721075

>grow up

have you been to any drift day thats not a matsuri/practice day? ive yet to see someone younger than someone in their mid/early 20s

Go to a skidpan day, they are quite used to newbies and frankly most are happy to see you there rather than being a dickhead on the street

Alright cunts, im looking for a RWD 4 banger car and came across a 4X2 2001 hilux for about 3 grand, tell me why this is a bad idea.
>>
Looking to buy a new car for to/from work used on motorway
Needs to be automagic, this is first car and i know nothing about them.

Currently looking at:
2013 elantra, 66k kms $13k
2013 i30, 60k kms $15k (seems high?)
2015 accent rb2, 40k kms $13k
2011 lancer, 125k kms $10k
2013 lancer, 96k kms $10k (a fair ways away though)

Problem is im one of those fags that like all the bits n bobs. lcd display that lets me know my speed is a large plus and these seems to be the cars that do it.

Please give me advice on these cars, which you think is better.
>>
>>16721089
yeah even if i spin out heaps i guess most will appreciate people taking up the sport

plus the only large sized carpark near me is a 24 hour kmart complex which makes it even more sketch that it was before

Get a manual Mazda 3 in that nice red colour they come in.
>>
>>16721096
You're asking the wrong place, pal.

Get a fucking N13 pulsar and learn to not be a millennial with the same attraction to shiny things that a magpie has. You get aircon, you get a stereo, that's all you need.
>>
>>16721118
Pretty much this.

It's just gimmicks.

Buying a car based on gimmicks is a retarded idea.
>>
>>16721096
you a p plater? dude get a shitbox pulsar like others have said or an Excel or an AU falcon wagon

drive that into the ground if you dont crash it before it dies so you dont piss away 10+k if you crash if you dont have comp insurance,
btw good luck getting insurance if you write off your car as a p plater

Hey guys, what's the best relatively modern (<$10,000) sedan?

e46 if you can afford the maintenance

i test drove one of them for a mate who couldnt have a look at the car until a week later, fuckkk they drive smooth def would own one if i wasnt broke
>>
>>16721151
i dont know why everyone doesnt do this. just buy a cheap old fun car on a big budget and use the budget to fix it up. theres some great shit out there that just needs some TLC and money.
>>
>>16721159
yeah plus you get people who dont know shit about cars who look at the e46 which has aged pretty well imo and think 'woah a bmw thats so fancy'. if youre into that shit, pretty reasonable price for what they are

my first car was was a diahatsu applause, i miss not giving a single fuck about it because it was only $150 with a tank of fuel and all i did was put 6 months rego on it and bush bashed it when it ran out of rego.

every new driver should drive a shitbox for the first 6-12 months because if they crash which is likley it wont set them back fucking 10k to replace like these people are considering
>>
>>16721136
Camry.
The Cruze is gutless and will break.
Lancer is just overall worse than a Camry.

drive my car 13 yo high km car
noises, rattles, heaps of road noise however mechanically a1(personally overhauled all the suspension)
drive any car <5 years old and im surprised by how well put together it feels. very stable, secure, no rattles, no road noise.
what is this voodoo shit? is it a difference in weight? my car barely breaks a tonne but these modern cars, even hatches are getting pretty heavy.

>>16721126
This, I hate those fucking overly sensitive revere sensors in cars that scream at you for getting within 200m of an object
