Found your problem bud. The original photo is too grainy, and the previously applied blue filter means it takes someone better than me to work around it. I've shrunk the shit down for the sake of file size, but you can still what I'm talking about just fine.

Top is the original, nothing altered. Middle is desaturated to lightness. The camera that took the photo has shit for HDR, meaning that we're left with three things: muddy darks, over exposed brights, and a shit ton of grain. Ordinarily, I'd be able to just desaturate and then bump up both brightness and saturation to bring the phtoto back to default colouring for colour grading, but the problem then becomes the grain. You can see in the bottom image, even with a tiny bump in saturation the grain around the bright spots is super bad, and its generating a noticeable fog bother around bright spots and the whole image. The original image just isnt clean enough to really be used.

High res and with a good dynamic range. You want something that has flat, non-muddy dark areas and crust highlights with no fuzz around them. Lurk /wg/ for a while, you should find something good there eventually.

Also, double check image dimensions and dpi. Slaps are typically 8x3 inches and 300+ dpi. Iirc in pixels that comes out to something like 2400x900px

One year update on the cheapy home made stickers

Shit is still hanging, slight fading but actually looks better then when it was first glossed.

All I used was this printable vinyl that I grabbed at wally world, then sprayed with left over auto clear coat.
