I've been averaging around 30 to 33MPG a tank. It even says that on the live MPG tracking on the Hondash app. I love that feature. The only other way to get that was to order one of those MPGuino things.

Yea I commute everyday but within my city. College student rn. Had two jobs within the city and had a job delivering meds with the car. That probably increased it the average. I'm probably 6k a year if it wasn't for that job. Currently just a student now since shit is getting too much.
Everything is nearby, pretty comfy suburb place to live and traffic is manageable.

And it's going to be bugging the FUCK out if me since I'll be living with my mom at 23 I moved out at 19 and never looked back now I can't make fun of cucks for living with their parents.

I pay most of the bills anyway so I don't even care anymore. Rent is high as fuck here anyway. A single bedroom is at least 700 a month.
>>
>>16651912
When I used to work at the nearby Honda dealership I used to leave the house at 7:40am to be there at 7:50am at latest. Got off at 4pm and leave at 4:30 pm. Got home 4:40 at latest. Comfiest scheduled work ever. The medicine delivery was work when you want so that was pretty comfy too. The airport wasn't bad either. Commute was 15-20 min in my car and then I'd ride the employee bus. It took me 40min to get to the punch in clock the second I put my car in first from home.
My college campus is 15 min away. I took a year at their other campus and it was 30 min away so it wasn't even bad.
I had a job 30 min away but that was in high school and my dad gave me a pick up to drive.
With my luck, I'm hoping I don't have to commute 1hr when I get a real job after college.

>>
>>16651981
Jesus shingu why work shitbox jobs?
You should get into a dealership man. Honda started me at 14$ an hour as a lube monkey.

Honestly there is nothing wrong with trailers I find them very comfy and cozy I spent a few years of my life in trailers so I like them. The one I'm moving into has a 6 by 8 shed behind it with a refrigerator and full shelving and its wired for power and has outlets already.
Gonna store by tool boxes and tools in there once I move in and set up my vape lab in there because I'm going to start making that shit and sell it for profit.

Only down side to a trailer is you get one parking spot so my mom parks in it and I have to park on the street. Sad face

I can't stand working on cars honestly. Get frustrated too easily. I love the result of working on my car though. I got bad back problems too. Would feel like complete shit after every shift at Family Dollar and the gas station. I worked both jobs at the same time at one point.

I'm making about $16 an hour at the Hut. Usually $300+ in tips and mileage a week. $250+ from my checks every two weeks. It's pretty comfy income and I'm rarely broke. Even better when my mom gets her tax refund to start her new job. Hoping it works out because I'm tired of paying most of the bills. lel

Lol I curse the previous owners every time I look at the rear quarters. I'm more into fixing the bits that matter. It's a great running car underneath. Eats up the miles no problem.

When I run out of things to upgrade to make it a perfect daily I'll see about getting a clean Milano Red body to move it all into.
>>
I've narrowed down my warm vents, cold feet situation. Could be a blend door or so for the footwells. I'm worried this might mean having to take apart the dash. Is removing interior pieces difficult?
>>
>>16655772
>Paint and body are my least favorite parts of the car.
Mine too. Integra's in bad shape so I'm going to just driveway spray it with marine-grade enamel OD green and be done with it. At least it'll be all one color again.
>>
>>16656897
I thought about having the quarters cut and replaced but then I think about the damage on the inside. No pics on me right now but underneath the driver rear plastics just below the tailgate on the inside it's all crumpled up. It's like it had a crash on the inside of the car. It's some weird shit.

It's overall cheaper to find a rolling shell and move everything over.

Can I bolt up a 92-95 ex/si trans to my 91 si?
>>
>>16656946
As far as I know all D series transmissions bolt right up. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, though.
>>
>>16656946
Just looked it up. 91 Civics had a cable clutch while 92-00 have hydro clutches. Probably need a lot of modification to get it working.

>>
>>16654715
Looking good homeboy how's your girl?
>>
>>16656931
Maybe it was in an accident and somebody just replaced the rear exterior plastics. Even though it may not be that important to you aesthetically, it'd be worth pulling the plastics just to hit the fugly shit with some rust preventative.
>>
>>16654715
desu, u should lose the thing on the back window

>>
>>16656946
No

>>
>>16657048
I took a peek underneath and it mostly looks fine. I need to take a better look at it though.

>they stripped one of the threads for one of the rear upper control arm bolts
>they put a longer bolt through it, cut the body underneath the plastic inside, and put a nut on it

When I get the chance I'll pull it apart and get some good pics of it.

I miss my civic nihgas. The xb is pretty nice but I like the civic more.
>>
>>16657740
I hate cars with a high seating position so I think I'd like the Civic more too.

Could always keep an eye out for the ideal Honda and sell the xB for it. I think those sell for more than your average 90's Honda anyway.
>>
>>16657747
idk i got the xb for 2800 bucks after taxes and its in pretty good condition. i think im going to stick with it but yeah seating position isnt the most ideal and it handles even worse than you think it would. which i already imagined it would be pretty bad but holy shit. civic feel like a sports car in comparison

i looked at a celica before i bought the xb and it was pretty nice but the title wasnt in the guys name who was trying to sell it so i noped the fuck out. next day found the xb and just bought it cuz i wanted transportation asap. the xb isnt terrible , the gas mileage is amazing and its 5 speed. once i start working i can afford something better if i really want but i really just need to focus on saving money instead of car shit for the time being :,(
>>

Just thinking that somebody went through the work to make that is mind boggling.

I got some future ideas for muh hatch as usual. The carpet is shit and is very bad fitting. Doesn't cover everything like it's supposed to.

I could go black but then my ricer ass sees Type R Flame Red.

Also curious about modding the dash to fit a double DIN head unit. Could relocate the climate controls down to the EUDM center console that's coming in the mail and modify the top area to fit it using a double DIN housing kit bought online. Most likely won't do it but it looks pretty cool.

Looks pretty good for the price. Even better if the engine was rebuilt and all maintenance kept up like the description says. I'd jump on it.
>>
>>16658588
Man it's a huge toss up. It'd pretty much blow my savings right now if I got it.
I still gotta fix stuff on my integra, but I really want to get into a manual car and start practicing. I'm also debating on waiting out for an si, but then again I might swap the engine anyway and make it a project car.
Maybe spend the money ruining my integra by trying to manual swap it :^)
>>
>>16658633
Yeah it's a hard choice to make. Manual swapping the Integra would be sweet, though. I've never done it myself but owning a manual car it doesn't seem like it would be too complicated. Though you may be able to sell that EF for more than you bought it for if you don't drive it too much. I know it would sell for more than that in my area in its current shape.
>>
>>16658653
too bad that dx is like an hour and a half drive away. I guess I should probably just focus on getting my teggy running smoothly.
It's always had a kinda rough idle, and lately it's stalled out on me while re-starting it after driving it.

Y8's are honestly bad candidates for boost.

Putting aside it's oil pump issue, the crank shaft has only 1 unchamfered oil port per main bearing. As a result they spin main bearings regularly under anymore than 8psi.

You can fix that though if you use a crank from a d16z6, which has two chamfered and cross drilled oil ports per main bearing.

Though at that point I would rather boost a z6, especially since z6 heads flow better.

hello lads
I am currently the owner of an E39 530i
I no longer want to be the owner of this 530i as I want to join the ranks of glorious nippon
I don't need anything breakneck fast but I'm not willing to get anything slower than my 530i, basically I want something that gets to 60 in less than 7 seconds and doesn't explode on a daily basis
I'm primarily looking at 05-06 RSX type S's. Is there any reason I shouldn't? Is there any reason I should look at one of the following cars as opposed to the type S?
>350z
>mazdaspeed 3

>>16662835
Get the RSX type s or an 06-11 Civic Si, that K20 will not disappoint and it fun to rev it out.

This happened on wednesday I think
>rush hour
>driving in the suburbs so it's tolerable
>going 35 mph speed limit
>2 lanes per direction
>I was heading towards a newly turned green light, left lane had a long line of cars while the right lane had no cars
>I was one the right lane and there's apartments on the left
>the directions are divided by a double yellow, can't cross it to turn left from apartments
>SUV pops out from the left in between two stopped cars, almost hits me
>note that I'm in a tin can eg civic going 35, I braked turned the wheel right in one motion to avoid it, corrected and went on my way
>locked up the brakes for less than a second when I braked
>heart pounding like a mad man

This is why new cars are no fun. They all have assists for everything; maintaining distance while driving or at a light, blindspot monitoring, bukkake of infotainment, automated maintenance reminders, etc. All of it for people who hate driving or see cars as appliances rather than an experience.

One thing I see too much is cars at lights sitting wwaayy too far away from the car in front of them because that driver is busy texting.

You should always leave space in front of you. I was going to list a bunch of reasons but this post is already going to be long.

Preaching against having driving assists is fucking stupid. Does power steering make you a pussy? I'm sure you'll tell me about "road feel" or some shit like that. Let me just tell you that when you're parallel parking a dacia supernova in 100 degree weather in a cramped side street in Romania with 4 screaming passengers that you are begging god that renault wouldve put a fucking power steering pump in that shit box.

I leave that all exposed and it's been pretty good. It's only bad without the fender liner because hitting a puddle hard enough will instantly fling tons of water right onto the back of the headlights.

I did learn that given enough time, packs of silica gel will dry every bit of it up without having to take the housing apart using an oven and shit.
