I don't scrape heavily or apply much pressure on them, some riders do, some don't, the main advantage of the knee pucks is you're not scared to stick your knee out anymore so your lower body position snaps into place and you got a bit of protection from the road reflector and sticks and other stuff it ain't fun to hit with your knee.

Now what is fun though, is putting your knee down...then having to move the leg up a bit as you're still leaning further over, THAT'S the feeling you wanna chase.

Finally got a chance to sit on an MC22 today, /dbt/ and my first impression is holy fuck my legs are bent something fierce.

My inseam is 90cm, so I have long legs and I think I may have just been thrown off by the fact that my really unstretchy pants were bunching around my knee and making the bend feel even tighter.

I'm going to test ride in comfy bike pants on the weekend, but if the worst happens and it's still shitty, does anyone know if lowered rearsets exist for the godbike?

How do suspensions work? What kind of changes can be made in general and specifically for my shitty SV650 ones? I heard I can only change the "pre-load" or something.

I don't weight much, I'm a manlet, but everytime there's a bump my suspensions seem very "light".

Yes and no. DCT means you have no clutch lever, but it's essentially computer-operated manual. You can turn the automation off, when it becomes like a regular bike except you have no clutch, although it upshifts automatically if you rev to redline or lug it under idle RPM.

The automation is not smart enough for spirited riding or twisties, but for touring, commuting and traffic it's super comfy.

I am considering buying a pre-2003 dual sport bike with 600 or 650 cc displacement and preferrably ABS in stock. The main purpose is to travel to Western Asia or maybe around Europe in summer. As I am limited in my assets (about USD 3500 and living in Russia) I was initially looking for BMW's F650GS but these have front fork axle lug issue (well, those that are suitable for my budget).
My question is: shall I save some more and buy newer model with ABS, or shall I buy older one and pray it does not break, or shall I consider something else? My main requirement is ABS availability as my driving skills are not yet perfect enough.
