The Y10+s apparently have had most of the issues ironed out and the new Brutales are supposedly pretty reliable. I'd just read up on the 3cyl engine and fix any issues before they become issues.

I know it might be stupid but I was paying 150 a month for collision with a 1000 dollar deductible. I only paid 5500 for the Ducati so I just took it off and left it at liability for 14 dollars a month. My insurance only looks at cc's which is stupid since my 796 is much slower then a 600cc. If it went back to 150 I think I could handle it since my truck lease ends this year and I'm going to get something much cheaper.

Honestly I don't think people who haven't experienced what I have can even start comprehending what it feels like to be me, seeing people with normal lifes giving me advices like "get over your defects" or "deal with your issues" makes me laugh.
Do you guys know what it feels like to wake up for years realizing the person you loved the most is dead, after each night you dreamt she was still alive and well?

This is just an example, there's lots of other stuff, my point is that it's hard to get excited about life and commit yourself in middle and long time projects. Even taking care of myself requires a strong will.

End of the blog, just realize that not everyone has retarded problems like the average man before giving your "just be urself"-tier advices.

How much should a poor college student spend on his first bike/gear?
>>
>>16561412
As much as you can afford to. Factor your gear into the cost before you choose a bike. You don't want to end up squidding because you only left yourself enough cash for a cheap helmet.
>>
>>16561378
Yes, I've already had. At that point you ask yourself: who am I? Can I choose who I want to be?
The answer I found is that the sorrow made me who I am, I can't simply leave it behind as if nothing ever happened.
>>16561386
You'd probably be dead by now if you were in my stead, my strong resilience is what prevented me from killing myself long ago. I don't think I'm exaggerating when I talk like this, I know I sound like an edgelord, but it's a fact that the vast majority of people don't grow up experiencing all this crap.
I do my best to live my life to the fullest while remaining true to myself but it's pretty fucking hard.

>>16561376
I'm sure they'll have to branch out. Younger crowd isn't as cruiser centric as in the past. I think it would be wicked if they remade the Indian 4 to compete with muscles cruisers like the Triumph Rocket and Yamaha V-Max.
>>
>>16561412
Buy the basic gear first and then the bike. If you're poor I'd say decent gloves and helmet, boots and textile jacket and pants, at least.
>>
>>16561438
Being aware is one thing, acting according to it is something else.
I try to.
>>
>>16561388
They kept Victory around for 20 years at a loss so I think Indian will get a chance to gain some ground. They look like cruisers that might pull a new customer from HD instead of Victory's bikes that look like something Flash Gordon would ride.

I'm hopeful!
>>
>>16561422

You can absolutely choose who you WANT to be. Whether you can actually become that person is again entirely up to you.

You see? That's exactly the point. You call it negative but seeing what my personal reality is, it's actually "realist".
The line between positive and negative moves in respect to what your experience is.

What I think is that if you decide to choose who you are you won't be true to your experience, you should strive to become a better version of your flawed self, not someone different.
This is what I think.
>>

I'd spend as much as possible on boots. Mine were $350
You can find nice helmets online for $100-$150 if you search correctly
I'd spend more than $25 on gloves. Wrists seem easy to break
I bought my force riders jeans for $80 something on ebay. They did fine in a 45mph slide

I was riding into town on a 45mph road (wet conditions) thinking I was going to make the light at the intersection. It decides to turn orange for a split second then red.
In that split second I decided I might as well brake and I came to a skidding stop right at the line.
One car to the left drives through and the light turns back to green in a few seconds.
It puckered my butt a little but whatever. I don't have ABS, just a 90's shitbike so that was cool.

Should I buy an Africa twin? CB1100 or MT09?
I like hooning to and from the gym but there is speed cameras everywhere. I like the sound of the inline 3 and 4. But I like the fuel range and ability to explore of the Africa twin?
I'm 190cm, 90kgs, live in an urban area and I have about 15,000AUD to spare
>>
>>16562620
I should say I'm coming from a KTM690 Enduro which is too tall, vibrates too much and has a shit range. Also I question it's long term reliability.
