Hey DBT, I posted this the other day but didn't get very many answers.
I have this wild dream about going on a big huge tour around the Americas this summer,probably on an Africa Twin.
It's just hard to find adventure jackets and pants that aren't made in China or Vietnam or some other second rate country. It's a personal bias, I know, but does anyone know of anywhere I can buy some European or American made gear? Even Japanese would be great. I know there's a ton of italian manufacturers for example who say that they're Italian but I don't know which ones actually outsource their labor.

I have a 300km stretch of mostly straight highway to my family, There is nothing to do but travel.
Back gets tired after sitting up for the first half, it'd be nice to rest it along the boring parts.

Bought a CBR250 pretty recently, thinking about going on a fairly long road trip (Melbourne to Alice Springs). Would go further but dont know how fast ill get bored and doubt I'd be able to take the heat, desu I dont think i'd even make it to Alice springs but its a nice goal.

How comfy is it for relatively long trips? I'm talking about Multiple 400km days. Never ridden it more than like 50km in a day.

Do any of you faggots know how the rev limiter works on motorcycles? I know car's cut fuel so it causes a jerking sensation as the car rapidly switches from full throttle to engine braking, but how do motorcycles do it? Particularly sport bikes...I am guessing the jerking sensation would be pretty detrimental when you're in a corner or some shit and you accidentally hit the rev limiter

Alright /dbt/,I'm enlisting in the airforce. I'm in DEP right now waiting to ship for basic in late march. I'll be doing Aerospace Propulsion, 2A631. I wanted to know if any of you ride/rode motorcycles while you were active duty? I want to take my bike with me when I go, but I'm still trying to work out all the details like where the hell am I going to keep it? I'm not going to leave it out in the weather in some parking lot 24/7. Any ideas? Also how the fuck does motorcycle licensing work in other countries? If I go to the UK for example am I going to have to get an A1 license to ride even if I have a US motorcycle license? And what about inspections? There's no way my two stroke is going to pass emissions.
