Got the front GCs installed. Went ahead and put in the Energy Suspension top hat bushings since I was taking it out anyway. I set the passenger side slightly lower than the driver side so it would be even. Aside from that they're at the highest setting.

I'll do the rears later on. My asthma kicked in hard which forced me to stop. They feel pretty good, though.

alright I'mma edumacate yall with some fucking KNOWLEDGE

this is probably baby stuff for whoever knows electronics basics but I have never taken any of that shit in school

I stared at this shit for like 2 weeks straight, couldn't hit it with a hammer hard enough for it to work and finally got my friend who is working at Texas Instruments to help me out but it all snapped in my head on how this shit works.

ELECTRO MAGNETS AND SHIT SON

so yeah if you have a 3rd gen Prelude and your fans aren't working for shit no matter what the fuck you short, it's probably this thing and if you don't want to pay up the ass for a new here's how you bypass it

Better yet, if the guy with the problem is reading this, those burns are just blown up diodes.

You can get2 new diodes (although id replace the middle one because he looks like he may have taken some heat) for like 4 bucks

See if any of the codes are legible otherwise just go with a regular diode with voltages that make sense.

I blew up something in my 85 crx and opened it up and it was a blown diode very similar to what you showed. Fixed it in 10 mins and works great.

Alternatively, mail it to me and ill fix it for 5 dollars
>>
>>16474123
I debated doing that with my TI friend but the board is cracked a little where it burned and I'm fine not having the timer function. Now all I gotta do is stare at it for maybe one more week to figure out how to make the condenser fan turn on when I turn on the ac. My compressor isn't working though so I don't really need it right now. Was thinking of just wiring the condenser fan in line with the radiator fan.
>>
>>16474137
Except the board being cracked doesnt matter homie
>>
>>16474151
traces on the back are also cracked, I'll fix it one day or something.

Fucking hell I've been overdosing on my inhaler just to get this shit cleared up. Crazy.

I got some rear brake caliper hardware in the mail today, too. Replaced the pin boots in the front when I did the GCs tonight and I'll be replacing the hardware in the rear when I install those too.
>>

TA switch is a engine bay temp sensor that OPENS (diagram says closed but service manual says opens) and turns the fans on when the bay is hot after turning off the car. Disconnected it, no change, tested continuity at cold temp and it had it so it is working properly. Fault was somewhere in the timer so it was basically working as if the timer wasn't plugged in at all.

Hey I was just wondering if anyone could help me out with an issue? I have an 88 Dx that idles rough as hell and sometimes even stalls. It also dies under half a tank of gas. I was wondering if anyone has any ideas on what this could be. Obvious guesses are fuel pump, fuel filter, and fuel injectors.
>>
>>16484288
Does the engine have an IACV?
>>
>>16484317
Yep and I literally just cleaned it out today. After doing so I took it to the gas station where it promptly died and took me a good bit to get started again to get back home.
>>
>>16484345
Does it feel like it's lost a lot of its normal power? A bad injector can do that. Start the car and unplug each injector one by one. Plug it back in if the car runs funny. If you unplug one and the car still runs the same then that injector is the culprit.
>>
>>16484364
Also I'm leaning toward the pump too since the fuel level plays a part in it. Honda fuel pumps rarely go bad though. Easy to replace if that's the case.
>>
>>16484372
That's a good idea I'll make sure to test out those injectors asap.
>>
>>16484288
There are 3 easy test to do under a Crank no start. Check for Spark, fuel, and compression. It's looking like somethings ready to give out. Under those 3 test, you should get a result as to why your cars is having said symptoms.
>>
Y'all with idle problems, have you check your fast idle valve to see if it's loose? EricTheCarGuy has a video on it. Also make sure your coolant system is bled properly. On my 3rd gen Prelude it also has a coolant sensor near the thermostat that helps the engine on cold starts, might wanna check that too.

Energy Suspension is one of the top choices for poly bushings.

I have a 2001 Honda with a non vtec d17a1 motor, the engine block is warped so the head gasket seal is shit. However all the engines available cheap here in LA are jdm d17a2s so instead of paying for all the parts to convert it to vtec would it be possible to use the block off the d17a2 and just drop the non vtec head on to avoid buying everything needed for the swap?

Not too sure there. Never really know about repair prices. The drivetrain might not even need anything if the description is correct. They're not very stressed engines.

maybe 2500 if you do the disassembly and source your own parts then bring it to a local machine shop for reassembly. trans is easy to do just get a manual and replace whichever synchros are giving you issues
>>

Find a forum that specializes in second gen CRX's and look for part outs as those guys will usually price their stuff fairly. Sup bros. Gonna be possibly purchasing a 91' Prelude from a friend of a friend soon. Doesn't run, but friend says that it's just grounding. Anyone got a grounding diagram or some shit for them? Does the B22A turbo well? How hard are JDM b21a swaps, if the gaskets are fucked?

It's gonna cost 450 dollarydoos. pr good deal if you ask me.
>>
>>16503710
Yeah for sure. There's only one CRX on my local CL right now and they want a street bike for it. It's swapped, though. At this rate I'll just stick with my EG. No plans to sell it anyway.

>tfw just finished a night drive to my synthwave playlist and picked up McD at the end of the drive

So fucking comfy

My right hand was a bit sore so I didn't drive too long. All that fucking twisting of my brake caliper pins. I'm glad I was able to get all four of them out.

it's not the same. the next generation of that car got SH-AWD though. the VTM-4 is the same as the honda pilot and and ridge line

Idk if it works on other devices but apparently there's a 91 Prelude wiring and ground diagram here:

I haven't heard of dropping a turbo in a B22A, I wouldn't recommend it.

so, I've decided i want my next car to be a Civic
what's the best one arround $5kish with:
>safety
>MPG
and
>at least some fun
probably gonna keep it stock for the MPGs and it being a Daily Driver

currently have a 98 Camry XLE (love the car, it's interior is all leather and kept in great condition despite 290k miles, and it rids like an 80s Cadillac) but the V6 is just wasting gas with 17-20mpg and 0 fun factor

Picked up the fender liner from my buddy's place. No fasteners with it so I'm gonna have to get creative with the zip ties. I might just cut the liner in half and use just the front half of them. I only need it to keep water from getting into my lights anyway. Won't be nervous during this week's thunderstorms that's for sure.

What options do I have for a 6" wide wheel that is low key or OEM for my hatch? I have a VX model with VX wheels that I like but I'm having traction issues and it might be stock suspension but I still believe it's a wheel width issue as well.

I was thinking rota slips or some newer wider Steelie with a classic Honda hubcap
>>
>>16509877
Rota slips is 6.5
You could go with GSR blades which are 15x6
Mine is 15x7 35mm 195 tires with no prob. Lowered 3 inches

It'll be either trashed or riced to death. Hes better off looking for a sedan in that price range considering they go for less in similar condition for 5-7th gen. Plus em1 over where i live sells when it isnt stock practically only, ive seen more stock crx's and teggies than stock em1's.

Recently purchased a 07 Fit Sport. Only has 75k miles, but it is ten years old. Should I have the valves adjusted? I can hear ticking even after it's warm but I've also heard it might just be the injectors operating normally.

So anyways, the CEL was on a couple days ago and the engine felt like it was sputtering so I tried getting more airflow by removing the flaccid penis resonator.

The result was CEL off, a teeny bit noise, and more succ power. The only issue was that with all the new air, the engine compensated with dumping more fuel, dropping my mpg. Looking for a solution, I needed something that could cover the hole,
