I want a race suit and gear and some cones so I can get good at cornering.

I'm not satisfied with catching up with 600cc and 1000cc bikes in the corners and then getting btfo in the straights. I want to be able to pass the bigger bikes in corners before getting blown the fuck out when the road straightens out.

Also, this is one of the few riding jackts that actually fit me.

I'm tall and have very broad shoulders. Riding jackets that fit are meant for fatasfatasses around the middle. if I get a jacket that fits me in the middle they are way too tight on my shoulders and the sleeves never make it to my wrists.
>>
>>16456084
I have a 52 inch chest. I found a jacket easily. You can as well

>>16456123
I'm not fat.

I have wide shoulders and long arms but a narrow waist.

At a bike show a Dianese rep straight told me they don't make jackets my size. That I should buy one large enough to fit my shoulders and arms then have it tailored down to fit everywhere else for another $200-400.

>>
>>16456167
I literally have tired. They do not make them my size. I would need to buy a $400+ jacket then have it tailored for 50-100% the cost again.

Dianese rep told me I am an outlier size that they do not cater to. And they are one of the few that actually makes tall sized riding gear.
>>
good starter bike that'll handle the highway and is comfy that won't break the bank go
>>
>>16456177
try harder i'm built to the same specs you listed and I can get jackets that fit me, 6'2" 190 lbs 33x36 and I can find jackets my size. Go to mens warehouse, have them measure you, and use those measurements to find a jacket.
>>
>>16456188
You're not understanding.

I had an actual Dianese representative. Who's job was to size people and fit them with riding jackets measure me and try to find me a jacket.

My arms are too long and my shoulders are too wide. They do not make jackets my size.

What the fuck is Men's Warehouse, who has nothing to do with riding jackets, going to tell me that a rep from one of the premiere riding gear brands didn't?
>>
>>16456201
There are brands other than dainese.
>>
>>16456224
None of them has wide a selection or cater to taller riders like Dianese.

And don't think I haven't tried jackets from other brands. Because I definitely have.
>>
>>16456229
Dainese does not cater to taller riders, all of their shit runs incredibly small.

>>16456236

They are one of the few brands to actually have legit tall sizes.

>all of their shit runs incredibly small.
They are european sizing, meaning they run "small" if you're a fatass. But for people who aren't small. and have narrow waists but broad shoulders they are some of the best.

American brands scale up wist size with chest size and shoulder size making jackets that cater to fat people. or skinny people with narrow shoulders.

>>16456240
Instead of spending $800 on a jacket, I'd rather just wear a protector under a jacket I have that fits well.

Since when is a bike being powerful essential to adventure riding?

Powerful means a big motor, big motor means big weight, big weight means the bike is shit offroad.

What use is a powerful bike that is shit offroad for adventure touring?

>I want to be able to pass the bigger bikes in corners

no overtaking other riders on the road in corners, it's not safe.

Lesson #1 is to stop caring about smashing your friends in the twisties because most of the time it's not that hard, greatly increases your chances of fucking up by trying to showoff too hard and because you don't go riding with mates to go fast, I go by myself if I just want to ride fast.

yes, I know the chain is loose and the tires are a bit flat- gonna address that after I get the light done. It's been sitting a few months.

You can literally buy an early 2000s sport bike with a top speed of 186mph for less than $3,000. This is the highest performing motorcycle you can possibly buy and is 95% the same as the bikes used in professional racing (literally race replicas). It can out-accelerate, out-brake, and out-corner the majority of performance cars and every other motorcycle. They have been documented to last well over 200,000 miles with regular valve adjustments and literally need no repairs outside of perishables (and maybe a stator or two)

So I don't know what the fuck kind of bikes you're looking at but I can assure you they are memes that you got suckered into

That shouldn't happen even with the loosest chain. Check the condition of your sprockets.

sealed chains last much longer, non-sealed have less friction

What does remapping an ecu imply. I'm assuming I would have to take it to a shop. Asking because I put on a new slip on muffler and the bike will stall warming up a few times which is something that did not happen prior. Although it was like 25°f outside and I never tried it that cold before with the stock.
>>

usually involves installing a piggy back fueling module (Power commander or Bazzaz usually) or re-flashing the stock ECU to change the air fuel ratio and what not.

Any good "remap" involves dyno testing so it's not cheap and definitely shouldn't be necessary for a slip on.

Ride the bike normally for a week and see if it stops stalling.

I might take it out for a day this week but with snow on the ground I'm going to have it sit in my basement till March or so.

Motorcycles are programmed to operate using a certain air/fuel ratio which is determined at the factory and based on the factory components (stock exhaust, stock air filter, stock engine, etc...)

By adding a slip-on exhaust, you alter the stock configuration. A slip-on exhaust should not change it too dramatically so it's usually not needed to re-tune the bike. Did your slip-on come with a baffle? Leave the baffle in and you will pretty much be stock. If you take out the baffle, you'll be running a little leaner than normal.

I wouldn't waste money on a professional re-tune unless you made some major changes such as a full exhaust or a new intake

I bought mine with both sets of rims for $3500 but it ended up needing a bunch of work which was quite annoying. I suppose if that one is really clean with no mechanical issues whatsoever then $3900 wouldn't be too bad.
>>
>>16457524
It can't. Even though cars are heavier, the contact patch they have is exponentially larger than a motorcycle. Not to mention they have an extra set of wheels. Not to mention that proper sport bike braking actually causes the rear wheel to lift up in the air so you literally only have the contact patch of one tire.

It definitely has got enough power. If you want more get the booster plug. I know the power specs look shit on paper but if you ride one it is great.

No cruise control DOES kinda suck. I have one of those plastic things that grips around your throttle and braces itself on the brake lever if I really get desperate but I don't get too bothered by holding the throttle.

if you have some nice trails near you, Mountainbiking can be even more fun than riding a motorcycle. Especially when you look at your GPS afterwards and see what you just accomplished with your own two legs, nothing beats that

>>16458684
>700 shekels for a proper one
that's more like entry level for fatbikes and MTBs in general

why did I have to choose the two most fun and expensive hobbies?
>>
>>16458704
Mountain biking sucks because you have to pedal and I just get tired and throw up.
>>
>>16458715
>t. fatso
>>
>>16458724
Not really. You go exert yourself to the point of exhausting after not doing any exercise for years and tell me you didn't throw up or want to die.
>>
>>16458693
Looks like it. Its kinda of a matte slate gray, a little rough. Just regular track plastics

>>
>>16458760
I don't exercise to stay slim, I do it because it's fun. Staying fit and healthy is just a pleasant side effect
>>
>>16458773

A harley davidson has:
The performance of a scooter
The ergonomics of a scooter
The practicality of a scooter
The reliability of an italian sportbike
The price of an italian sportbike
And the "proud heritage" of a pickup truck with a confederate flag painted on the tailgate
