If you are in the GTR and turn the wheel all the way to full lock and stomp the throttle it will just do a understeering one-wheel-peel instead of a donut. It's really fucked jacking that happens at all caster angles and under acceleration. It feels like the car has a slightly floppy live rear axle or something.

Before release, they showed off the supposed successor to GT2, called Gran Turismo 2000 which was basically a higher res version of GT2

Hello,

I am working on a patch for the GT3 mod that will make the cars a bit more graphically consistent with each other. The mod is completely optional and will not cause any mismatches online, download it only if you want your screenshots to look nice.

The biggest most obvious change will be in this baby right here, the Marcos LM600. Just look at the picture and you will see what I mean. All the other cars won't need changes this big, just some shader setting adjustements and that's all.

A bit better now. Front grille texture is now correctly assigned and changes with the body style chosen and the front bumper is fully paintable. I don't expect to take this long to do a single car again as this car was (and still is) in a pretty poor state.

It's not a huge list compared to nearly 400 cars, and while you can extend it with compacts (Focus, Megane, Escorts, Kadett?) it's disappointing compared to the amount of muscle cars you get.

You literally get 6 French cars (8 if you count Bugatti as French). 4 Renaults (R5T, Clio I & IV, Megane III) and the 205 T16. No Citroen. Clearly if any of the modern sporty french hatchbacks aren't interesting (308 GTi would be nice for example), the Twingo I isn't going to be in. Which is a real shame and step down from Forza 4 which had so many little hatchbacks.

Which option did you pick?

IIRC software mode reverts to PS2 resolution, which is something like 512*480 interlaced. Try different interlacing modes with F6, it can help with the blurriness but don't expect it to magically become as crisp as, say, the PC version with a widescreen HD patch.
I also notice that your framerate seems odd, and that due to PS2 games being PS2 games, if the framerate isn't locked to the original framerate, the gameplay will feel sluggish, slowed down and the visuals are more than likely to glitch. Perhaps the "elongated" motion blur is a function of the framerate.

Also, MW is by design blurry so maybe it just functions as intended.

PS2 emulation is nowhere near perfect, especially if you use DirectX.

You could try GSDX OpenGL with a higher rendering resolution, but even then you'd be playing an inferior version of the game.

AC always felt kinda strange when moving slow, or actually not trying hard on the tires.
Thing is, I like the feel of it on higher speeds. rF2 on the other hand has way better handling, but I just can't digest playing only with mods, which isn't that justifiable, since "official cars" aren't that far from mods, conceptually speaking.
