Hey guys,

i got a question.

Is there such a thing as free lance trucking?

I have a lot of extra cash and a lot of free time and I think it would be fun to get my CDL and then do some gigs every other weekend or some shit to fill my time.

Thoughts?

There's actually tons of gigs online if you own a straight truck or van just being an independent contractor and moving whatever the fuck people can't fit in their cars. Just go on CL and you will see 500 "Man with a Van!" ads.

Since I didn't get an answer in the last thread, TruckerFag what are the average rates for LTL? I'm making $1.80-$2.20/mile doing TL's but my lease company doesn't offer LTL. Is is possible to drive 2,000-2,500 miles a weeek, or are you sitting a lot? Could I make at least $3/mile driving that much a week 36-52 weeks a year?
>>
>>16042573
It's called being an O/O and you can run as much or as little as you want. Don't expect weekend gigs but I do know people that will take a load out and a load back home and that's all they do once or twice a week. Don't expect to get rich though. Those people I know are "retired" and just do it to travel or pay for health insurance and stuff.
>>
>>16042830
You need to work as a company driver for at least 2 years to be a O/O
Viable part time is not really a thing in this industry.

And you know, insurance and registering everything as a company and paying taxes and all that bullshit that comes with trying to do things by the book.

This is why I could never vote for Hillary even though I was scared when it looked like Trump might actually make into the race. It's so difficult for a guy to start his own business these days and actually make a living with some hard work. The gubbermint just chokes them to death.

Leave the window open when parked, and they'll leave. If not, pick them up on a sheet of paper and shake them off outside.

Assuming you're not still loaded with them. If you ARE, keep your fucking windows shut at all times, fuck the inside-bees. The fuckers outside will get in and dump wax and sticky shit over everything.
My first car was given to me after my grandfather died. He transported beehives in it, containing the bees through the simple expedient of keeping his foot hard down and flattening them onto the back window.
Every single surface, outside and inside, was COATED with wax and honey. The heater smelled of warm honey. The steering wheel had to be unjammed when I picked it up, because it was glued to the mounting.

To simulate how a CNG engine works in the real word, simply grab a lighter or anything else capable of making fire, and apply it directly to your wallet. As you watch the bills burn, just imagine that your handing them over to the service desk at a shop.

Congratulations, you've just learned what its like to own a CNG engine.

Back before they sold off our full service vending unit, we had a CNG or propane or whatever Frito Lay truck at the warehouse all the time. I'm assuming it didn't weigh a ton since bags of chips are light and I think the tractor was a single axle even with a 53' trailer behind it.

There is also some Volvo "Hydrogen Powered" Pepsi tractor that is at our plant sometimes and I believe that dude does regional runs so like Jacksonville to Miami and Tampa. It was parked one day and I was checking it out and it looked exactly the same as any other truck aside from the giant "Hydrogen Powered" greenpeace bullshit stickers. Then I was reading up online about them and it was something goofy where they only use the hydrogen a very small portion of the time and it runs like any other diesel truck 99% of the miles. Can't remember exactly how it went but it was a load of bullshit and just trying to trick normies into thinking this big company gives a shit about something other than profits.

All but I think 5 of the 65. I figure at least 20 of them are going broke this year. Out of them, a few will have their lease terminated for shit behavior before they're bled dry.

>>16045452
Yep, that's how most dual fuel systems are set up. The system I looked up used "up to 75% CNG", and most of that was at cruising speed. At WOT it was 90% diesel with a bit of CNG to help complete the burn, but the injectors were trimmed enough so that you weren't seeing any additional power. A propane bottle actuated by the boost gauge would be more fun.
>>
>>16047134
Some people sleep better with white noise like idling engines. Also, in gravel lots, it's considered polite to park next to another truck to reduce the chance of varying parking angles that end up reducing available parking as the lot fills up.

>hence why I want to run less to NET more

I'm currently only NET $1,300/$4,000.

I consider all costs before NET (cell phone, food, health insurance, etc.) not just fuel and tractor/trailer related payments. So that $1,300 is basically spending money. But I want to make more without working more.

I can do multi stop loads but I don't think that's the same as what you're doing.
>>
>>16050070
Go away
>>
>>16050315
I would say if I only counted fuel and truck costs, my NET would be $2,600.

I don't know how you run your business to determine what your costs are, but I would be interested in a general explanation of LTL.
>>
>>16050315
>>16050326
You really need to keep your personal and business expenses seperate. Figure out your personal expenses then break that out as a salary and transfer it to a personal account. I keep my personal salary at a flat $1000/week, and can do a draw from the business account add needed to keep my taxes simple.

The way I run LTL is I grab 4 loads around Chicago going to around Cleveland, kick those off, and do the same thing going back. Loads usually pay $300- $600 each, so that's $1200- $2400 on around 400 miles. It usually takes the bulk of a day to get all the loads on or off, but depending on how the markets are balanced I might end up taking a truckload back to the market I just came from which means I can be back in the hot market every 2 days.

You'll have to find a market and pace that works for you.
>>
>>16050419
Thanks.

And I will try working out a better budget. I'm pretty fresh. Bought a cheap truck my Dad helped pick out (he's a diesel mechanic so that helps a lot). I mostly do a triangle and back home. Always try to hit Detroit. I mostly leave out of Virginia or North Carolina, down to Missouri/Alabama, up to Detroit/Toledo, then back home. Or in that general vicinity. But recently I've just been staying out weeks at a time booking 1 load ahead at a time. Racking up revenue but more miles != more NET.

I'm assuming you haul machinery. Can't imagine steel or lumber being LTL.

Steel LTL pays decently, and when your running bundled bar you can usually fit 2-4 loads under one tarp and still have half the deck empty. There is lumber LTL out there, but I leave it fit conestogas since it's usually sub $1/mi, and nobody's throwing an 8ft tarp for that noise.

Operations made me give my lower mile truck to one of our OTR drivers and I got his that's getting close to the end of its lease because I'm on a dedicated that only runs like 1500 miles/wk.

I don't think the guy cleaned it once in the 400,000 miles he put on it since new. He took one look inside my truck and said "Ooo, yeah, you're not going to be happy." I swear to god it had 1/16 inch of finger goo built up on the turn signal stalk and back side of the steering wheel. All the switches had a layer of sticky slime too. I thought the dash pad had a spot worn in the paint where he put his hands to steady them while he turned on the lights. Nope, a shot of degreaser found that it was shiny black dirt. It was literally the nastiest truck I've been in that wasn't intentionally vandalized and he lived in this son of a bitch too.

Community College or a dedicating truck driving school. Do your research and don't get sucked into a "school" that's actually just a meat grinder for a shit company. Do not pay over $5000 for a course that lasts several months.
>How can I into avoidings shit companies?
Here are some decent/good companies:
http://pastebin.com/Sv0cyWyH
If you don't see the company you're looking at included on this list, lurk moar.

>I could totally go to school but I'd rather be a trucker.
If you think you'll love the lifestyle, maybe. You'd be better off getting a """""real""""" job. You can fall back on trucking at any time, but it is essentially a path of decent money for those that fail at everything else.
You can have good business sense and work ethic and make it big as an owner operator, but you would do even better at any other job.

Could someone explain to me how the whole process of a trucking company works?

Company A calls Trucking Company XYZ and says they need something moved from place B to C.
So who usually puts it into the shipping container?
Does Company A have to bring it to the XYZ's place?
How is this order dispatched to the actual drivers? Is there an order? Or is it whoever isn't already on the road?

Once a driver gets to C, what then? Does he call someone back at XYZ's office?
Also when is the payment actually sent?

>always been interested in how the whole thing works but never knew
>>
>>16056756
Go to Baja. You can work later.
>>
>>16056994
Using my load from today as an example
>Honda calls equipment manufacturer X
>they need a new assembly line
>X calls all the materials suppliers for supplies
>some send their goods over in their own trucks since they move product almost, if not every day
>some have a trucking company that they don't own, but contact directly, move their product because they typically have a few loads a week
>a few that ship very rarely or so frequently that the prior two options have been exhausted in the available shipment window contact a broker
>broker gets load info along with how much their customer is willing to pay to move the goods
>posts on load boards
>negotiates a rate with trucking companies that call in
>the broker tries to find a trucking company willing to move the load for as little as possible to maximize their cut of the flat target rate given to them by their customer, the shipper
These three scenarios are known as in house freight, contract freight, and brokered freight respectively. If you're interested in a linkhole, read up on logistics here https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Third-party_logistics
>>
>>16056994
Now to where I come in:

How I got my load today was
>several months later the project is nearing completion
>manufacturer has no trucks of their own to ship the product out on
>their freight is too infrequent and variably specialized to form a contract freight relationship
>however, they do know how many trucks they need to move the equipment and when their customer wants the product to arrive
>they call a broker and say they need 8 trucks, 6 conestogas, a stepdeck, and an OD flatbed to arrive on Friday and Saturday to make Saturday deliveries for a target rate of $8000 between the 8 of them
>broker receives truckload dimensions
>allocates the budgeted linehaul to each load to match market rates without overshooting them to maximize the broker's profits
>$700 for the stepdeck, since it's a tall, but otherwise easy load
>$900 for each conestoga, since they're expensive, high demand/low volume equipment
>$1000 for the flatbed, since permit costs and regulation command a higher rate
>reasonable $900 profit for the brokerage
>nobody wants to fuck with a wide load on a saturday
>I call in
>ask for $1100 to meet permit costs
>broker explains that cuts out their profit for my load
>agree to come down to $1050
>sign the rate confirmation
>call the broker back and tell them the load is too wide to run legally over the weekend
>he panics
>the shipper panics
>last minute on a Friday
>I offer to wait until Monday to run the load for about extra $100 a day over the weekend
>they agree to a rate of $1250
>I go home and fuck around for the weekend
>come back and run the load for a better rate than I'd initially asked for

This is one way that commerce works.
>>
>>16056994
There's the shipper who's asking the freight company for a quote to send their product to the receiver. The only time this gets complicated is when the shipper asks a broker, who in turn posts to a load board hoping some schmuck is dumb enough to take a $2 a mile gross load.

Is a $20-30K truck worth it? Looking at old 2000-2003 Freightliners with Detroits, but every O/O I talk to at truck stops say they are all trash and I should spend at least $75K on a truck if I don't want a money pit.

Also, how much should I need for a decent aluminum flatbed and gear?

Also, what skills are essential before I should consider being a O/O? I know basic maintenance schedules. I know how to change fluids, filters, grease, etc. I'm pretty handy. I manage trips well and have only had 6 late deliveries in my 3 years of driving, and 4 were out of my control. I know freight lanes pretty well. I just don't know what to look for in buying a used tractor or trailer.
>>
>>16057303
>however, they do know how many trucks they need to move the equipment and when their customer wants the product to arrive

Yet they want OD on the weekend. If they knew the customer wanted it on say Monday, they should have shipped it out days prior and the stupid driver taking that would have sat a weekend with no pay.

Sometimes it's great when drivers get one on a stupid shipper than a shipper getting one on a stupid driver.
>>
>>16057305
Why do people take cheap loads? I get huge carriers taking them because they can do the volume and they pay drivers pennies. The only situation I plan any trip that pays less than $3/mile is if I'm wanting to get home or I'm leaving home to get in the lanes. Sucks living in a shitty area but I love living on the river.

According to some trucking organization, 90% of the industry is small businesses with 10 or less trucks, averaging 1.2.
>>
>>16065953
I don't know where you got that from, but 97% of the industry are fleets with 20 trucks or less, while ~50% being 1 truck operations.

Self-driving trucks are still a long ways away, and these driver assisted trucks won't be replacing anybody. The only people that should be scared for their future are the mega company driver cucks and their cheap as dirt contract freight. To the rest of the industry, it'll only benefit us. I'd still like to see how a self driving truck alone can impact the spot market. I want a self tarping flatbed trailer god damn it.
>>
>>16060543

Let's ignore the topic of commercial trucking and look at the broad aspect of driverless vehicles for a second, because the trucking industry lags greatly behind the innovations of the rest of transportation.

Level 3 and 4 vehicles still require a driver's licence because YOU are the driver. The autonomous technology is driver-assist technology. You are still the driver and liable for tickets, wrecks, and damages.

Let's consider level 5 driverless cars. Who's liable for tickets, wrecks, and damages? According to the companies of these driverless technologies such as Google, all people in the vehicle are passengers, and the computer is the driver. Under current law, the driver is always responsible. A passenger isn't wearing a seatbelt? The driver gets the ticket. You're involved in the wreck, the driver is responsible, not the passenger. So are these manufactures willing to take complete liability? Do you really expect people to sign some waiver accepting liability for something completely out of their control? The entire legislation on traffic laws would have to adapt.

Here's my prediction. Level 3 and Level 4 cars are coming soon, but they will be a very small percentage of market share and grow very slowly as the technology improves. It has taken ACC 26 years just to capture a 3rd of the market, and still isn't a standard feature for most new cars coming out today. This new technology will have no exception. It'll be an optional feature for luxury cars for years if not decades before it becomes standard or even optional in your $20K Honda Civic. You'll have taxi's adapting them more than us, and that may drop the private car ownership rates in big cities, but it won't make a huge impact very quickly. I don't see this making a big impact at least until 2030.

Level 5 is still at least 50 years away from becoming standardized.

>I am a deer in headlights
>oh cool.
>she goes back into bathroom comes out and starts playing music on the stereo

>I just go in.
>she was said she wanted to fuck now
>I go lay on bed she gets on me
>15 minutes of riding. Biggest tits I've ever played with..

>was so worried about lasting long that I just fucked both of us raw and I couldn't cum.
>go to sheetz again for snacks.
>she sleeps on my futon
>I am on my bed feeling like a bitch that needs cuddled.

In retrospect it absolutely eats me up inside I never got to doggy style her. I have no mental picture of her ass at all. And it drives me mad. I think because I didn't cum all over her that she didn't really develop a connection during that encounter. This was 5 years ago.

He sees a day when trucks do their thing on the interstate, then stop at designated depots where humans drive the last few miles into town. Drivers, in effect, become harbor pilots, bringing the ship to port.

Do you guys 4chin while you truck? Is that why you're such awful drivers? Also, stay the fuck out of any lane that isn't the rightmost lane.
>>
Why are new drivers so terrible?

This guy washed his truck in a fuel island, then sat there for 45 minutes waiting for his company buddy to pull up in the next pump and they swapped trailers. Then the other guy took a 30 minute break without moving his truck.

Was waiting to drop a load and guys were laughing at some guy trying to fold his tarp in the 20mph wind. They kept yelling at him "If you can't even fold a tarp you don't deserve to be a trucker." Not one of them walked over to help besides me. Then while I was watching them struggle, I said "If you can't even fold a tarp you don't deserve to be a trucker."

>>
>>16072593
By the way, all of these drivers were from the same company, and wouldn't even help each other out. I'm an O/O and I've seen much worse lack of respect for other drivers, but the fact that they wouldn't even help a fellow company driver makes me sad for the future of this industry. Driverless trucks can't get here fast enough. I'm saving now planning to invest in one and see how it goes, then probably lease more. These retards will be back flipping burgers.

I think his wages are pretty average for vans. Any higher than $0.40 and it becomes too picky, not just pass a few checks and off to orientation.

It took me almost 3 years on $0.36/mile to save up to become an O/O. >>16076377
Our new Internationals always have problems and they justify it by saying "It's under warranty!" and send it to the dealer which means it is gone for a week minimum. Then when it's busy we have to rent Penske trucks. We have had between 3 and 6 rentals in our fleet over the past year. There's no way that is cheaper than just buying new Kenworths or even Freightliners instead of Internationals.
>>
>>16077391
Presumably, someone is taking backhanders, or they're tied to a contract.
>>
>>16077550
Idk they could have some deal if they purchase a ton of trucks, but Internationals are cheaper normally and the people in charge of the money want to save a couple pennies in one spot even if it means losing dollars later on.
>>
>>16077796
Big companies generally cut deals with suppliers. My employers have signed a deal with Iveco to supply vans on the cheap and save money, for example.
All the drivers are bummed; they like their Mercedes vans. And I liked being able to say I got to ride in chauffeur-driven Mercedes for work.

Do you really want to know about it?

This is also the slower season so with no experience it might take a bit for them to hire you unless they have a bunch of people quit. It gets much busier in the summer, our volume seriously probably dropped like half since before Labor Day.

It's not that terrible once you get the hang of it. Pay will be like $40k-$60k a year depending on location, pay structure, and how good you are at the job. I had a handful of 60hr weeks when I first started but now that I have my route figured out and know what I'm doing, I work ~45hrs a week and it ends up being $20-$25/hr at the end of the day.

Just remember, it isn't really a driving job. You are gonna have to deal with shitheads and stock some coolers but you also get to sleep in your own bed every night and they will treat you like a king if you make it a year.
>>
>>16077902
Idk what else to add. Pepsi is straight because you get health insurance and all that shit from day 1, you don't have to wait 3-6 months for it to kick in. That's a big factor for some people.

A lot of beverage distributors are independent bottlers. We're actual PepsiCo and I believe Coke around here is actually Coca Colla. We get paid base pay and commission, it's like $120 just for clocking in for the day and then ~15¢ per case. I heard we make more than the Dr. Pepper and beer guys but also work pretty hard because Pepsi sells so many damn products. The Coke distro buy us pays drivers hourly now, up until like 2yrs ago they had salary and commission too. Some of their drivers like it, some don't. But from everything I hear, Coca-Cola around here is twice as dysfunctional as Pepsi.

D-Bay or Driver-Merchandiser will probably be what they call that position online. It can be 10-20 stops, 300-700 cases for us. Stops are anything from 10cs to 150cs. We do gas stations, 7-11, Walgreens, CVS, restaurants, etc. Average delivery is around 30 cases.

And if you apply...

Starting pay for us was $12/hr. Hopefully your location will send you with one vet and you can get the hang of everything within a month. Some of our new guys (especially the shitty ones) will get thrown on trucks with whoever needs help and it sucks for them because they don't learn as much but it is normally guys who won't hang around long. Last week I had a dude with me who started in July and still only has routes a couple days a week when people call out or we are heavy, but this nig is especially niggish and lazy and slow and dumb. I was collecting paperwork on Wednesday and he had like 3 fucked up forms from one day. That dude also stays out for 12hrs to get 10 stops and 300 cases off his truck while I'm doing 550 cases and 15 stops and still back in 9hrs.

But don't expect to be grossing $1000+ right at the beginning. We do have this Chinese overtime where you make a little more money when you work over 40hrs but it totally isn't worth it. You may only have routes 2 or 3 days a week if it is slower so you still get your base pay but no commission on those days. I don't mind when they cut my route once every week or two though, it gives me a little rest.

When I get my route cut, it ends up working out since I do other shit instead of just helping somebody. Wednesday I had no route, so I drove a van around and got missing paperwork. Even dragging ass, I was still done by 10am so I hung around and talked shit to people and clocked out by 11am and got my $120 base pay for driving a van around, smokin cigs, and listenting to the radio for 5hrs. The last two weeks I had my route cut a few times and took the sweet airport delivery. So I clock in at 6am, smoke cigs and talk to people for an hour, drive 20min to the airport, sit and wait anywhere from 10min to an hour for a security escort, then go drop 5-10 pallets and leave. I make a bunch of commission on those pallets with no real work.
>>
>>16075314
If it was in a busy area I would just concede and keep a safe following distance. But in Wyoming? There is no reason to be doing that shit when you have all that open road. I don't think I could ever drive a 62mph truck.
>>
>>16072661
It'll be fine as long as it's not running while you are driving. The hard drive is the main concern since it has moving parts and the vibration could fuck it up. None of my consoles have ever broken while in my truck over the past 3 years
>>
>>16072940
From my experience the only thing to worry about stopping at rest areas for a 10 is DOT showing up to inspect trucks. IL, TX, and PA seem to be big on this
>>
>>16078269
62mph does suck. The speedos and governors in our trucks are all over the place. Some end up around 60mph so you are forced to ride in the right lane with people who don't know how to merge. But even the trucks that get like 66mph, you can pass all the 62mph trucks so much more easily.

They really need a "Push to Pass" button where you can hit 70mph a couple times an hour just to pass those fuckers and then go back to 65mph

Work for an international corporation, all company vehicles from salesman SUV's to our Freightliner Fleet are all governed to 59 mph, that's it, on my truck the system slows me on downhills to make sure I don't go overboard 59, it really, really sucks, my state has a 75 mph speed limit, have to run with my flashers on at all times, even have a sign on the rear of my trailer, warning other drivers

I should really get a dashcam to record all the batshit stuff that happens on the highway when Im pulling my trailer around. No accidents, but lots of near misses with assholes almost clipping me, or swerving around me and the big trucks with no blinkers.

Just today I was in the left lane with a big truck and trailer was in the right lane, and as I was going to pass the truck a fucking car that was behind the truck wedges just barely between the truck and me so he can get in front of me and pass us both. If I had been going any faster he would have clipped my front bumper and gotten launched into the backwheels of the trucks trailer.

I'm going to be starting out OTR next week. What are some essentials I should stock up on? I've got like the basic hygiene supplies, but what else would be good to have?
>>
>>16082770
Rubber gloves for pumping fuel
Wet wipes for cleaning
Box of disposable latext gloves for cleaning
Flushable baby wipes for your ass
A good led flashlight
A waterproof mattress pad for spills and stuff
Top Ramen or canned food

Unless you actually want to cook. If you got an inverter, get an electric foreman grill or something. If not, get a small tabletop grill with a small propane canister. And then of course a mini fridge. Microwave is also helpful. I'll cook a bunch of chicken breasts before I go out and eat them cold with a can of green beans and potatoes. I get a lot of cup of noodles as well and microwaveable food like pizza rolls, hot pockets, etc.

Once you get out on the road, you'll know what you're missing and can buy it then. I'd try to find parking in town/city at least once a week to do some shopping. Don't get lazy and just eat truck stop food. It's cheaper to raise a child than maintain a truck stop diet.

>What's the reality of trucking?
I book a load from a load board. I pick up load. I deliver load. Bunch of paperwork and bullshit and I get paid.

>Do you get tired often?
I don't get tired but sometimes I just want to get home and I'm cranky all day.

>Do you get a chance to sleep?
Usually have 12-14 hours of total free time a day.I sleep about 7-8 hours a night, and spend the rest playing video games.

>Have you gotten into an accident?
I smoked my breaks once and had to crash into those run away truck ramps down a mountain. I was extremely embarrassed and regret the company I went to because I was never trained for it. My training was 4 weeks with a local driver. Ran the same local routes every day then went back to company HQ. Once I got my own truck, I was regional and running just about everywhere east of I-35. Had no experience in hardly anything and went bald due to fear and anxiety.

>How much do you get paid?
I'm owner/operator now and made $79K NET last year. But as a company driver, I wouldn't expect any less than $0.35/mile for your first job. Expect to make anywhere from $40K to $60K as a company driver. I made $52-55K a year in my 3 years as a company driver making $0.38/mile.

Ran out of time in middle of nowhere SC because of a receiver who won't take it until Monday and water in the fuel. Now I'm bored.

>What's the reality of trucking?
Hard graft.

> Do you get tired often?
All the time. Roads are boring.

> Do you get a chance to sleep?
If I'm lucky.

> Have you gotten into an accident?
Pretty much every time traffic jams solid and I have to barge 4-wheelers out the way.

> How much do you get paid?
Get... paid?
I paid for the hardware and the software... Oh, you mean REAL trucking, not ETS2 and ATS?
My bad.

>he doesn't have a 1000-dollar beater at his company's main terminal stuffed away in long-term parking

Single best decision I've done as a trucker is bring my car to our terminal. I'm in the midst of purchasing something much nicer for hometime.

I've actually considered putting beater cars in other terminals we have, specifically our Fontana, CA drop yard and Pittston, PA. Maybe SLC. I think if you plan on spending any time with your company of choice and are OTR you owe it to yourself to buy a cheap ass beater car that could potentially make it home if you got axed and store it on company premises so that way you got wheels.

There's also the 'keep a bicycle in the truck' idea, because they're much faster than walking and stupidly light, and can be stored with next to no maintenance.
>>
>Now there's a banner ad at the bottom of the screen
This is some bullshit.
>>
>>16086791
And on Safari with the iPhone, every once in awhile I will get one of those pop-up type ads where it gived you the "Ok" or "Cancel" choice and all you can do is close the whole page and go all the way back from a home page.

Fuck mook. They should at least get rid of that bullshit for pass users.

I've always pondered how to keep a bike on the truck without either keeping it in the cab or getting it mangled if it's hung behind the cab.
>>
>>16086884
Longer-frame tractor so there's room to hand it behind the cab?
Attach it to the trailer?
Otherwise, take a wheel off and keep it in the cab, away from the grimy shit outside.

Bike as in bicycle?

It wouldn't be hard at all just to strap it to the rear of the cab. And if you take the front wheel off, you can turn the handlebars to the widest point on it would be the pedals which is like <12".

And if you want to go thinner, leave the front wheel on if you want but take off the pedals and handlebars and it is <6". You could also look at flight bags for bicycles, you take the handlebars, front wheel, and pedals off and they back down so small you could probably slide it under the bunk.

Front wheels will often come off without tools, so you would need a single wrench for the pedals and a hex key for the stem to take the handlebars off. Hell, some pedals can actually be removed with a hex key by going from the back of the crank arm so you could pack it away with 2min and a couple hex keys.

>>16086884
Longer frame and a retracting ramp motorcycle lift to place it. They exist for pickup trucks but the geometry would be a bit different for a tractor frame height. There are plenty of pics on the net. You could have one custom made or fab it yourself.

just buy a folding bicycle for $100, they are small enough to put in the passenger footwell

I find it amusing how some of you flatbedders can manage to secure thousands of pounds and dollars worth of equipment to the truck, but have trouble doing the same with a small bicycle.

Nigga strap it to the ceiling of your cab or some shit. Get creative.

They got me by the balls. I always post from my phone and there was a ban across AT&T everywhere around here. The one that says "You can't post from this country" or some shit so I bought the $20 pass. Not having to deal with the Captchas is worth it though, those things get worse every week.

Sup primebro are you company or O/O?

I'm going to prime's orientation next Monday. What is Prime's policy on parking a beater at their terminal? Got a old Toyota.

I might have to start posting here. Long time member of the 4chin """"""""community""""""""
