There were 7 events listed in the Rivals tab of the start menu. One of them had somebody's Gamertag, and the other 6 just said something like "We thought you'd like to try this." When I chose one of those, it gave me a bunch of options for which course/route I wanted to race. Each one had a different user's time listed on the right. When I chose a route, it asked me to spend $20, presumably because the event required a DLC car.

Forza 4 was pretty fucking great for quick money, as in. The very very last race in the campaign was the nurburgring heat race, so what I would do is race the first one. Then quit out.
With bonuses you could get 50k+ and it just took 2 laps to get free parts on a company.
Which is why I liked forza 4 a lot, free parts meant I could do anything.

To those not playing FH3

The NR16 physics mod was released at the end of the month. Its been at least 9 years since any fiddling with physics was done to this game.

The cup cars are fast, but require a diff ratio near 3.7-3.8 to top out above 200, edging 210 easy at Atlanta, which they have no issues getting to, the acceleration is just fucked with my impromptu diff fix. It takes almost a lap to get there. The cars just stick to a line, whether it be the high line of the low, its unreasonably easy to just hold one, with a considerable amount of bottoming out with the default included setup.

The trucks are flat out on some tracks and the xF cars are extremely easy to drive. These cars are literally babbys first stock car tier, the default setup is slow, even. All of them are extremely easy to drive, actually, even with no assists. it feels as if you have traction control.

I've never driven iRacing before, but the cars stick like they do in ASRX and old NHeat G3Gen6, the trucks feel very similar to ASRX also. I'm no expert when it comes to sim physics, I drive whatever feels nice, and accuracy is dependent upon if the car behaves in the same way drivers say it does.

The 4 rotor is so strong I suggest a final drive of 4.10 and a 1st gear of like 1.8.
Just to stop those fucking wheels from spinning and actually using first gear.

Be warned, the 4 rotor has no torque until like 5,000 RPM, and then it just shreds tires no matter what gear ratio you put it at, at least for the ones that let you take off at a normal rpm.

Since you mentioned "impossible" there is a guy on youtube named impossible that has a hacked xbox that could read burned disks.
People would modify forza 4 files and enable conversions to be on or off for a car.
There would simply be a list of what engines could be swapped and what cars they could be swapped to.

Along with things like getting 20,000HP cars because what they would do is just modify how much the modifiers for parts would inflict.
It was pretty cool, even stock rims were modifiable
