That's
1) a 98
2) not a clean title

Nice try though.
>>
>>15603498

Are you retarded?
>>
>>15603508
How the fuck is it not a clean title?
>>
>>15603512
Before I answer that, there are even more things wrong:

3) 4-door, and unless it's actually a car shipped from Japan there were no 4-door ITRs sold in the States
4) it's probably not even a real ITR seeing as it says "RHD CONVERTED" and "CONVERTED PROPERLY" and "JAP FRONT", but I can't confirm without seeing the actual listing

But as for it not being a clean title: missing an engine as well as having a "replacement"/conversion front clip, which leads me to believe one of three things:

1) it was stolen at some point in its life and the engine/interior was ripped out or;

2) it was crashed and the engine was damaged or sold off to pay for repairs, thus the JDM front end or;

3) it was originally a beat up 4-door DB8 that the owner wanted to convert into a 4-door ITR replica and started the conversion but didn't finish the project

3 is most likely. But again, unless you give me the actual listing page and not some 240p screen shot, I can't confirm.

Regardless, that's definitely not an example of the car I asked for.
>>
>>15603574
It definitely is. It's just a shell. you never said drivable.
>stolen

>crashed

>>
>>15603579
Instead of being a faggot why don't you post up the actual link unless you're scared that I'll rip apart every picture proving that it's not a 97 ITR with a clean title.

Reading comp still 0/100 seeing as it's still not a 97 ITR.
>>
>>15603579
You should post the original listing friendo. This is the perfect opportunity to actually LEARN something about cars instead of pretending like you know shit and instead being shit.

Because I care so much about this topic (since I'm a real car enthusiast), the car you posted is most definitely not a 97 ITR, nor is it even a REAL ITR from Japan, and here's why:

1) No one with a JDM ITR shell would need to say the car was "RHD CONVERTED." All JDM cars are already RHD so to call it converted is not only redundant, but plain false.
2) In picture #15 (yes, I found the listing), you can see the rear crossmember/subframe. On ITRs, the cross member has 2 brackets that allow for the bolting of an OEM-supplied tie bar for more suspension rigidity. I've attached a picture to this post. On the picture in your listing, those brackets are not present. Already this gives away that it's not an ITR, much less a 4-door ITR from Japan.

98_JDM_4drba.jpg
31KB, 600x299px
>>15603579
3) If the car really WAS a JDM ITR as you claim it is, there would not be holes in the rear trunk for where the badging would be. As you can see on the attached picture, 4-door ITRs don't have any holes for badging.

>>15603579
4) Your example has a sunroof. Now, there are some very, very rare ITRx's that had a sunroof option. However, there's no way a 4-door ITRx would have made its way to the US, much less Miami, FL, without someone in the community knowing.
>>
>>15603721
I should add that ITRx's were JDM only, which is what I mean by the community would know of the presence of one in the US.

If you want to win shows, everything wrong.
If you're an occasional tracker running street tires (like RE-11/Star Spec/RS3) then they're fine.
But if you want to run R-comps and race slicks, tracking on Rotas is asking for trouble.

OP here. There was, actually, but it was not sold in the States. However, there are a few owners of these 4 door ITRs (imported) in the States.

But that car OP posted is not even a 4 door ITR shell; just some random LS/RS/GS 4 door that the owner wanted to turn into a clone. After I ripped that post apart I think the faggot stopped posting though.

I forgot how much I used to know, its been a while since my honda info was tested. Nice wheels btw. Is it the width and offset that makes them harder to find?
>>
>>15606826
>Is it the width and offset that makes them harder to find?
Yup. "Retail" specs for 15" are 15x6.5 +38, which are pictured here >>15603375 Those are fine but the concavity looks awkward, and it's also not really an upgrade from the stock wheels which are also 15x6.5 so all you're really getting is less weight (and a stronger wheel but that's whatever). These wheels are 15x8 so I can fit wider rubber (225/45) and +35 so I don't need to roll my fenders to avoid rubbing. I would just need to raise my car up a bit from where it sits now, but that's no problem.

The reason why I didn't go 16" is because I physically couldn't. They don't make many R-comp or even race slick tires that fit on a 16x7 wheel in the size that wouldn't require me to roll my fenders.
>>
>>15606856
Rolling your fenders takes like an hour with a hammer, it's super easy dude, done it so many times.
>>
>>15606893
It's not the difficulty; it's the "rolling fenders." My car is a clean title, mint, all-original-paint (minus bumper)-all-matching-VINs-on-body-panels ITR. You don't just roll the fenders on a car like that.
>>
>>15606856
I've been thinking about some overfenders but should probably track my car first and find out what I actually need

>>
>>15606904
What car do you have? If it's a Honda you don't really need overfenders.
>>
>>15606915

>>
>>15606920
>>15606916

>>
>>15606918
Done properly you can't really tell.
Using a fucking hammer isn't "done properly" though.
>>
>>15606915
Do you roll fenders on a GT3? Do you roll fenders on a Ford GT? Do you roll fenders on a GTR?

The only time I would ever consider rolling fenders is if I wrecked the car and it needed a full rebuild, at which point I would do a complete overhaul of the car. As of now, I'm trying to keep it as close to factory as possible while still being able to push my limits on the track.

>>15606920
Depends on what you want out of it. For any car, you want to start with brakes and tires, regardless of whether it makes 100hp or 1000hp.
>>
>>15606918
How?
It's a fucking 90s economy car, there is no resale value.
You're gonna get 2-3k when you resell it if you're lucky, rolled fenders will have no impact on this.

And I have 16x7 wheels with 205/50/16 ok/cheaper tires
>>
>>15606950
Not OP, but if I'm understanding him correctly, he wants to run 225. 225s in 16" will not fit on an ITR without rolling fenders, but 225s in 15" will fit without rolling via these TE37s he's bought.

In my experience, 225 is the largest you can go on a low HP FF before going larger gives you diminishing returns.

IMO bigger wheels are better because you can run bigger brakes, my shit is fucked because I bought 16s when I should have got 17s and now I can't run the brembos I want.
>>
>>15606973
First thing you'd want are better brake pads and better tires. Look into Bridgestone RE-71R tires in 205/45-16 and Hawk HP+ pads.

If those tires are too expensive for your budget right now, then Bridgestone RE760 Sports are very good.
>>
>>15606995
The biggest brakes that you'd ever run on an ITR are Spoon Sports calipers and these will clear those fine. It's not so much the diameter but the offset that gives you problems. If OP wants to go to a "BBK" then he can on 15"s.

If the RE760s are still too much, Firestone Firehawk INDY 500s are a solid tire as well.

I bought my example at $15k, which was at the time on the higher end because it's a 1997 which is the rarest example and also the first model year in the US. The car would probably appraise for at least $20k at this point, if you can find 3 ITRs for $15k (which I'm assuming are either 98/00/01 model years.)

Even tho I'm pretty disappointed with my TE37 it's fun to have something that gives such recognition with the petrolheads.

There's nothing wrong with spending that kind of money on a car that you want. The one who bought it in the beginning spent even more on it ;)

on a miata? yes
>>
>>15607114
It's been 20 years and the car is already back to its original MSRP value. The thing won't touch $100k, but I wouldn't be surprised if low mileage, original, clean examples fetch $40-50k on Barrett Jackson in another decade or so.

Do they keep spinning after you stop my nigga? Shiiiiit looking good holmes!!!

Fuck me /o/ is pure garbage. OP enjoy your wheels, ITR and track days. You faggots saying ''hurr just just a honda'' or ''LOL ROLL YOUR FENDERS BRAH GO ON DESTROY THE CAR'' can fuck right off.
>>
>>15607422
Considering I've put over 1500 track miles (which is nothing) and 20k+ regular driving miles on the car in the 5 years I've owned the thing, yes I'd say I like driving.
>>
>>15607422
He fucking tracks the car, dumb fuck. He doesn't baby it. He just doesn't want to shit on the heritage of the vehicle and hurt the value of his capital.

ya done fucked up op, shouldve gotten ce28, they are the lightest from volk. Also Te37 is like the honda civic of wheels, they r so common.
>>
>>15608256
It's a pain but as long as you 1) have a garage and 2) aren't stupid with the car aka going into Jersey City for a midnight street race or some shit you should be fine.
>>

Eh I bet I could dox OP pretty quick if he posted something that upset me. Or I can just go down the road to Mid Ohio and look for the white ITR with Jersey plates and force my thumb into his bootyhole

Rotas are like the comic sans or papyrus of wheels and for good reason.

>>
>>15609807
Keep it OEM/OEM+, so buy an ITR lip (those things are pricey though...) that's either MR from factory or have a good bodyshop color match it, and then buy GSR blades.

Oh I already have the gsr blades, pic didn't show them very well. but my problem ATM is that under the front bumper the PO had a bad scraping habit so the plastic from what I guess is the GSR lip has been hanging off like 5-6 inches. I scrape everything with it.

4x100 does give you more wheel options, but 5 lug is more pimp.
>>
>>15609634
I just mean in general, really. Not just on /o/ but anywhere in the automotive world, legs will be lifted if someone wants to make a four-door fast. "lol, why would you ever waste your time on something that isn't a coupe?"

Except I give rides to friends sometimes, and occasionally need to move shit, and I like being able to get to the rear seat easily when needed...

Don't mind me. I'm just ranting because the addition of two doors is often frowned upon in this hobby. Bastards.
