Ya'll are just saying that we can't seem to decide on a name, but you know what that's fine, since we only met once or twice. It's too early to name ourselves, a lot of good ideas were passed down but I'm sure we will eventually get a good name. There seems to be a line dividing between those who like a particular name and dislike a particular name. That's what it's all about, agreeing and disagreeing, we will get to a name that we ALL will agree on eventually. Let's keep this idea train rolling and hope for the best, there is no rush to get a name and don't feel under pressure for stickers. Perhaps one more meet will help us, maybe we can discuss this once we sit down and talk.

Hey im down to go...incoming blog post...

So I made the trek to Livingston yesterday and I had a blast driving down the old farm roads, old 224 was DEFINITELY the highlight of my journey. Fast left and right handlers with good straights in between. Imagine the burger king back section before the long straight without all of the shitty bumpiness.

Traffic was backed up on 59s all the way to the halfway point between Livingston and Cleveland, so I backtrack intending to take 150 all the way to 45, that didn't work as a section of 150 was impassible due to flooding I doubled back and started smelling gas and terrible fuel eco... My needle was dropping. I look under the car and my fuel tank is clearly ruptured and hemorrhaging fuel... So I haul ass down 2666 to 2025(?) and the cops blocked that so I take 2025 north to 150 and I reached a part of 150 that wasnt too bad and hit 45. Beside that massive traffic on 45 at least it wasnt at a standstill like 59s. I almost ran out of gas hitting Clinton Dr exit on 610 s. Put in my last $5 of gas and made it home. Wew. Lad. Two hours later I patched it up. This morning I put in a gallon of gas to start it. The fuel pump starts thumping!

I pushed the schraeder valve at the fuel rail with the key on, zero pressure, not even a dribble. Got a fuel pump today and its getting put in right now.

Running the fuel that low for that long was probably the perfect excuse for the 180k og fuel pump to quit

My serpentine belt looks a bit shit on the neon too so that will be replaced before I head to the meet

I think I have made enough car god sacrifices for the foreseeable future. I wouldve done the fp by myself, but the tank has to be dropped to remove the fp there's just no clearance to unscrew the collar around the pump and pull the fp assembly out of the tank. All of my tools are in my gs so I couldnt even raise the car to drop the tank.

Jesus Christ... I just got the car back from my guy. My neon has no problem except the fuel tank patch. He said in the morning I didn't add enough fuel to prime the fuel pump and a half gallon in a bone dry tank wont do the trick. I thought it would, being that it is a 11-12 gal capacity shit box. Still. A hole in a plastic tank means its kill and should be replaced. Ill keep it at halfway so the pressure on the patch is minimized till tuesday. Better wrong than broke. Saved 200 on a fuel pump assembly

I use a Nikon D 5000 with a non AF 18-55 lens. I'm not sure, whoever was the miata from the 1st meet I guess, I never went to the 1st meet so don't know. I'm driving a 1998 SC400. I'm always down for photoshoots, I think we all should get some high quality photos for each of our cars, one of the reasons why I like the mini meets since I have a lot of time taking each photo. I prefer taking photos in the daylight so I don't have to use long shutter times, sometimes the pictures get blurry due to wind shaking the camera or the street lights bringing in too much light. I'm thinking to go to the Lonestar Drift Round at GGP which is today, haven't decided yet though, probably will take some more photos there.
