I assembled the entire car using just the jacks in the driveway. After the engine is in you can jump in the bay and duck down to reach everything. I tried moving it with the seat but the physics fucked up and my car flipped over the van.

How the fuck do I put the clutch and pressure plate on. I put the engine plate on then flywheel now the only thing I can put on is the clutch cover plate but if I put that on I can't put either the pressure plate or the clutch on. Help, I cannot into this. Worst part is I did it just fine a few days ago. I think I'm retarded. Send help.

After like 5 hours of work I got it mostly together. Putting the panels on was sketchy, half of them sat in place for a second, then popped out and damaged themselves. While trying to get the passenger seat it, it launched itself into the windshield breaking it, and it leaked all of its oil in like 30 seconds of driving. After the car burst into flames and shat the bottom end out i was going to leave it but i will give it another go

I tune the valves with the valve cover on, sitting behind the head right on top of the carb, easing forward you can peer through the cover, then turn and Q reach through the firewall to reach the ignition.so you don't have to jump in and out while getting it lined out.

If you leave the valve cover off you have to refill the oil once you re-install it.

So scroll them all down 20 clicks to bottom them all out. Then counting the place you are at, click (scroll forward) 9 times, this will bring you into the first click of the good zone. From bottom (scrolled all the way back/down on mouse wheel) there are 20 settings or so a valve can be at. There are 8 bad at the bottom, then 6 good in the middle, the bottom of which, is setting number 9. 9 is the best imo. then 10-14 are acceptable, won't tick, but arent as high performance as 9. Then above 14, starting with 15 and going to 20 like the bottom 8.

i did some MPG calculations but the odometer doesn't go beyond 99 and then it goes to 90 again so i had to count them.
I did about 45.5 km on 13.7 liters of gas. that gives me 3.2 km/l. that is 7.5 MPG us.

it did not break down and it didnt use any oil which is nice tho.

Lots of places have rear accessory forks. The power take-off, hydraulics, and accessory mounts on most tractors is at the back. So it's a lot cheaper to just put the forks on the back instead of running hydraulics to the front and figuring out front mounting for the forks.

You can paint individual parts, pick up a paint can and with it in hand press U to use it, then hold the spray over a part until it changes color. Body panels save color information when saving the game but individual parts do not.

I had to have a look on used Datsun 100A market because of this thread. Less than 10 on sale and they have come up hugely in prices. If you know something is loose and you just can't figure it out, you can look in the save file, its text, and look for (8) on all the parts, that means they are tight. A (7) or below on any of them means you have left them loose,don't change the number in the text file, tighten them in game.

So I've finally finished, and then upgraded to the performance parts from the shop. My car starts, runs for ~10 seconds and then dies. I haven't adjusted anything because I can't get it to stay running long enough to warm up so I can judge it correctly. I had this problem yesterday which was fixed by screwing in the oil filter all the way but I have made sure everything is tightened all the way this time, via the save file. I tried adjusting the choke and idle screw but I've had no luck. It's getting pretty annoying too since after two tries of starting it the fin just cusses.

Does anyone have any ideas?

I forgot to say that I have about half a tank full of gas, though it acts weird when I try to add more. It has a tiny hotspot where I can fill but will only fill for a split second and I can't seem to get it in the right spot for more than that moment. I have made sure I have all the required fluids too.

No timing to set. It's just valve adjustments and the idle screw. It's pretty easy to adjust if you get on top of the engine because you can reach everything at once.

If you do end up playing, save your game after you get each big part assembled. Otherwise, you're going to kick your own ass when the car is totaled and won't drive after hours of work.

Does anyone else have steering problems? My car constantly veers to the left even though I never touched the alignment. I tried adjusting it and it didn't work. Could one of my steering components be damaged from a crash? I've had about two rolls that could have damaged something I suppose.

I imagine you've figured it out by now but you need to lower the engine with the crane and get it close to the three mounting points. Two in front, one in the back center. Line the gearbox up with the halfshafts if you can't find them.

I've just tried this method to fix my steering problem and it has fixed everything aesthetically so far, though it doesn't fix the broken windshield because when it breaks it turns into a different / new item.
