Holy shit senpai! I finally got something from CD. I've still got like 10-15 slaps somewhere out there, but this is a start. One of them is the layered Impact Blue that I genuinely didn't think I was going to get. I had moved on. Also got Picnic Squad and something related to Picnic Squad that I've never seen before. I didn't order the red Akina Speed Stars slap, but I like it. Got the V1 Senpai's Dead and Better Off Alone as well. Looks like I'm just waiting on 1 more big order from December and then 1 from the Series 4 release and then the layered Pikachu slap from last night.

So for anyone who ordered cut vinyl stuff, my transfer tape hasn't arrived for some reason even though it was supposed to be here thursday so those can't ship out until monday (presumably it will arrive by then). I'm gonna go check out fabric stores later to see if they stock this stuff.

Anyone else who ordered just stickers I will ship out later today. Here's most of the orders laid out for shipping so you guys don't think I'm pulling a BSG with the delay. many of them are not going to ship yet because they need their vinyl cut with transfer tape, and that's why some of the mailing envelopes have none on top. I was going to take a picture in full sun on top of my car but it's too dark when I woke up. That would probably be the most accurate for what we want and my camera's auto white balance would probably work best with that kind of light. I'd scrap it desu senpai. There's nothing particularly inspired about the concept and the execution is mediocre. Even if it were polished to a mirror shine it'd drown in a sea of generic car phrase slaps.

Also (and this is just my opinion) slaps that use photos instead of art can come out looking crappy ESPECIALLY if there's no clearly established focal point. Maybe if you artificially washed out or unfocused the background the car would draw the eye a little bit, but ultimately I think black cars with black wheels tend to not be very photogenic. So maybe a different picture would be beneficial.

Do slaps reminiscent of vintage racing liveries exist yet? What made me think of it is one of my favorite liveries is the John Player Special Lotus 77. Obviously you couldn't sell slaps that say John Player Special on them, but there's nothing saying you couldn't do black layered over gold with the text "Special" (in a similar font) and a nice chunky border in a muted gold. Similar things could be done for a bunch of those classic liveries.

Hmmmm. It's not as distinguishable as a heart as a previously thought. I like it, but I'm afraid that the Ohayou and pantsu messages both might be too diluted for anyone to understand.

What if you combined the two as sort of a mash-up? Take a heart pantsu in pink then overlap a smaller teal Ohayou (with or without the border around Ohayou, not sure if it would be recognizable without it) lined up so the stripes mesh and both are distinguishable.
