Not really, since it allows me to keep track on the other generals when people are trying to request me for shit. Difference between the other generals on the chans is that those ones complain when they're bored and don't have a server to play on, while this one complains about having a server to play on. Since I get the more positive feedback there, I put my resources there.

So if you want to play something that /v/ loves, EYE: Divine Cybermancy is tomorrow, TF2 is Saturday and Jedi Academy sunday.

I've come to talk with you again

How long do you guys think is TOO long for /turnleft/, time wise? I'm thinking of setting a time limit for the race at the absolute maximum amount of tolerable time, with the lap distance timed so that a fully green flag race would end 30-45 minutes prior to that time limit.

This way we have enough distance to need multiple pitstops, we have wiggle room for caution periods, and if for some reason we have a stupid amount of cautions, we arent running around behind the pacecar forever.

I'm thinking 2-2.5 hours max time limit, with races timed to last about an hour and a half.

It was like 7$ on steam this week and 15$ on humble bundle. I have clocked about 8hours in it and absolutely love the multiplayer rallys but the Ken Block stuff and the already dated unskippable voiceovers in the singleplayer are killing me.
I'm not very experienced in rally-games so I cant tell if the driving leans to the arcadey side or not, but it feels good.

I ran a test with Brookdale earlier today. A full run of fuel was about 50 laps. Brookdale is about a 30 sec lap, so running 150 laps under green is about an hour and 15 minutes.

I'm thinking if we aim each race distance to require a minimum of two pit stops, we can get the green flag run time between an hour and an hour and a half, and set the cut off "max time" at two hours.

How can I keep my tire wear more even?
Also my left rear tire heats up a lot quicker than the rest of my tires.

That is a latency prediction issue. Netcode isn't even a real thing, it's just how many ticks the server updates.

In this case, the driver in front has a shitty connection, the game predicted the pof car being closer and as hitting him, so it only happened on his end.

No, netcode is not a real fucking thing, it's some shit made up by a bunch of salty mother fuckers.

The thing even started with BF3 and people complaining about netcode. When all it was, was the native server update was something like 12hz. So stupid low that you can kill a person in it before it even registers on their screen they took the first hit.

AC had the same problem, and when we went through and connected to the touge event he said he had it at like 30hz. for it to be efficient in a case of an FPS you need 70-80, and in a racing game at least 120.

you are playing against someone in the past. That's why the technique is called rollback.. All it does is have huge amounts of server latency but the fight doesn't start for your opponent or you until after the fight actually started for the other.

It only works in fighters and is not possible in a racing or shooting game.

Mostly, just drive smoother. Don't spin the tires or slide at all if possible. Also, you could take the fast right turns slightly slower. Monza is tricky to save the left side tires because of the high speed right turns it has like Curva Grande and Parabolica, whilst all of the left hand turns are slow chicanes.

Because for most people it is not fun to wreck at nearly every corner. In circuit games you remember corners and braking points after few laps and usually you are driving in race cars with good cornering capabilities, in open world game you drive street cars mostly. Rally games are closest but you drive below 160 kmph.

Functionally, nothing really, I gave it a few go's in rF2 the last few days, it's driveable and all, little understeery here and there (feels like it's rear-aero biased) but that could be setup.
I just don't like the looks, watched Indycar 'grow' during the late 2000's, before the wings and shit covered the wheels, and now when I look at Indycar, I feel like it's been 'nerfed' in a way. Hard to explain but that's the best analogy I can come up with right now.
