currently deciding between:
yz125
other 125t dirtbikes
kx100

kx100 is cheaper, but limited availability, and only 2-3x as much powah. also its a bit smaller/easier to handle

yz125 is a bit more $ but it has 3-4x the powah of my 125. its also a fullsize bike so a bit different than what im used to.

another problem is that ive only ridden my ttr125 and my friends yz250 with a 265 big bore kit and i dont know what kind of power a 125t has.

any thoughts?

So, my last two bikes were shaft drive/belt drive, so I've never really had to look after a chain.

My current bike (2015 Triumph Speedmaster) has no center stand. Can anyone recommend a rear wheel lift so I can get the wheel off the ground and clean the chain?

I have no friends, so it would need to be suitable for a single person lift.

The fuck sort of riding do you do that requires you clean it 2-3 times a week?

I commute on average 3-4 hours a day, rain, hail or shine I ride, about 40 minutes of that is on unsealed dirt and gravel.....I *might* clean my chain once a month.

You'd be amazed at how little maintenance a good quality O or X-Ring chain actually needs.....and i'd be careful if I were you that you weren't doing a wonderful job of damaging the link seals and lubrication with that much cleaning.

Well I can't say for certain that they make them for the 2015 model, but you can certainly get aftermarket centre stands for the older Speedmasters, that would probably be your best option.

If you can't find a 2015 one get under there, measure up what mounting points you have and try to find another triumph centre stand that'll work, even if it's a temp thing you put in there, run a length of steel through and pin it, it'll make everything easier in the long run.

Cruisers aren't as comfy as full-blown touring bikes like a BMW K1800 or whatever it's displacement is either.
I don't ride 2500km/week but the thought of doing that was why my butt hurt. I like the transalp because it's a cheap, sturdy, reasonably comfortable long distance bike that sort of can go offroad.

Finally managed to install my DIY cluster bracket (fork mount instead of frame mount). Had to buy an extension piece for the speedo cable. Now I can finally get rid of the old headlight and bracket and install a sumo headlight to the forks.
