Hey /n/, any here know how I should re-grip my longboard? Its a landyachtz battle axe 2015.
It has that weird spay on/clear grip I'm not tok sure which it is.
Either way, the front part of the board has its grip worn away and its real slippery now.
I want to know if I should go out and get more clear grip or I can go with regular black griptape. And if so, If I can just put it on top of the old grip or do I have to do some weird shit to the old stuff first.

Can you peel it off from the edge? If not then it's probably sprayed/painted on, basically clear paint or adhesive with sand or whatever embedded in it. It's probably best to sand it down instead of trying to stick grip tape on top of it. If you want to keep it clear you can get tape or spray, I suppose you could spray just the worn down area but again it'd probably be best to sand that area in which case you may as well sand it all.

Basically just sand the grip off and wash the top of the board before re gripping the board. Any kind wouldwork at that point
