Technology does play a part but all the riders in the peloton have gear that is just as good as each other. Nobody wins the TdF because "their bike is better". That's absurd

What CAN play a difference is the effectiveness of the team, their tactics, their nutrition, their training etc. That's why Team Sky have bossed it since they started (or you can believe they take PEDs, whatever, but there's no denying they have a gigantic budget, therefore they can afford better trainers / physios / nutritionists / chefs than other teams. And overall their tactics are just far better.)

Apart from that shit, it's down to the rider.

Most likely bait, although your typical recreational, casual rider, somehow thinks that having a $10000 bike will suddenly qualify you for the UCI Pro Tour and you'll be in next years TdF. Same mindset, really, that makes them assume that taking PEDs will suddenly transform you from a filthy casual rider who has a problem riding 15 miles in an hour or less, to a Pro Tour-worthy top-level rider. Of course the fact of the matter is that if you gave the total casual rider the $10000 bike, and a Cat-1 pro rider a $500 bike, the pro rider would, naturally, be done with the ride, showered, and enjoying dinner before the casual on the $10000 bike even finished. The average person doesn't appreciate the year 'round training that competitive cyclists do, and at the pro level, the fact that their training is literally a full-time job. They just make riding the bike look easy, so casuals see that and think it *is* easy.

this bike isnt uci compliant. If the uci threw out the rule book and just made the rule of no motors and has to be human powered then e would probably see racing done on an almost flat laying down position to maximize aero.

There's technically an """"""African"""""" team but it's mostly people not from Africa and if they are they're white south africans. There are like 3-4 blacks on the team and they're all Eritrean. One is a good climber (had the KOM jersey in the TdF, though they were on pathetic easy stages) but that's about it.

However, arguably the best climber in the world and current Vuelta champ is an Amerindian from Colombian andes. So to be completely honest he's pretty much like a South American Kenyan. He's very dark as well.
