post smug Björk
why is she so smug?
bc she got those slanty eyes but people dont call her a chink
/tv/ here, what does /mu/ think about Dancer in the Dark?
>>74984497
It's kino. But after seeing it once I don't want to see it for a long time, too sad.
Have you seen Drawing Restraint 9? I haven't despite being a big bjork fan and really liking the soundtrack. Really need to get around to watching it
>>74984497
I liked it alot. Beautiful film, probably a masterpiece.

Same, it's pretty rough. I felt like it struck a really close line between being tragic and being over the top melodramatic, but the sheer absurdity of the optimistic musical segments (which of course tie into the american dream as well as hollywood culture in general) more than made up for it. Could've easily become hacky in that aspect, but I think it executed it well.

>Have you seen Drawing Restraint 9?
I have not, hadn't heard of it even, but sounds interesting.

Agreed. Though I love Lars von Trier in general, he manages to make really unique films that touch me in very different ways. Stuff like Dogville and this are genuine masterpieces.
>>74984497
>/tv/
>liking good films
lol
I love Dancer in the Dark though. I wish /tv/ talked about experimental films more often rather than capeshit and a bunch of generals. I love Lars von Trier

Why do you think I came here
About 2 years ago /tv/ was also complete shit but there was usually at least one thread up at all times about good films where you could have some actual discussion
Now you're lucky to find one once a week
>>74984905
Netflix show discussions and the load of generals really killed /tv/. things went downhill with the over saturation of capeshit movies, capeshit tv shows, and Star Wars VII. The people here that complain about elitism on /mu/ have no clue how bad /tv/ is. it's like if we had Justin Bieber general or Selena Gomez general. I saw a thread yesterday asking /tv/ what movie is the board's ITAOTS and the most common answer was fucking Batman
case in point >>>/tv/87368310/
Scaruffi and RateYourMusic by far are better places to find good movies to watch than /tv/
>>74984905
It's got pretty good memes tho
>>74985078
>TAOTS and the most common answer was fucking Batman
they're both overrated trash so makes sense
>>74985078
ITAOTS is the most memed album here, TDKR is the most memed movie there, that actually lines up
>>74984497
Kino. Von Trier is a genius and Bjork is a great actor.
>Hey Yoko, do you know what time it is?
>IT'S BEATIN' TIME!
>>74986129
>tfw bjork will never beat you with an air hockey paddle
>>74986228
lol it's the q award
>>74985078
batman answer is because of the memes
i think /tv/ is coated in irony that isn't that obvious to people who lurk infrequently (me), which is why they pretend to like shit like suicide squad and batman vs superman...
+ cunny posting, which i don't entirely understand
at least they hate rick and morty lol
