Funnily enough one time I managed to let this old man who had an antique store let me try this Galician gaita he had and managed to play three notes that I played over and over again until he got annoyed.
As far as brass instruments go, I've played the trumpet twice, with similar results. Three or four notes over and over again, interspaced with horrid screeches. I can play the bugle, though, for like five minutes before I feel like I'm going to pass out.

Yep. I saw Dark Funeral last year, and they sucked. The sound was terrible, the drums werent tight, and all around a bad time. Marduk i saw the year before that didnt wow me either, and i dont know why i keep going to Hates shows cause they always disappoint. Last time Destroyer 666 guested Denmark they got in a fight with the audience. And as i said DNS cancelled, and both wiegedood and the committee played last year, so that pretty much left just Nargaroth i wanted to see.. I was pretty disapointed in this years lineup compared to last years.
But as a huge Taake, Inquisition and Archgoat fan, notthing wil propably beat that year.

Although I do enjoy war metal that's not quite what I was requesting. In my mind war metal is kind of separate from black metal and death metal. There are similarities but I think of war metal as kind of being its own thing.

I was more requesting death metal bands that explicitly incorporate standard black metal musical techniques (tremolo picking, maybe some shrill black metal style vocals here and there, stuff like that).
