ITT: personal 10/10s
Next time there's a 'listen to the album below yours' thread I'm posting this so someone else will finally frickin listen to it aside from me.
>>70514610
I liked LIB too. Probably in my top 5 beatles albums.
>>70514653
Ive only listened to Piano Man. This is better? I might listen later
>>70514682
Oh yeah it's WAY better.
At least 1 (one) billion (1000000000) times better. Amazing composition.
And the closing track is the best song he's ever made.
I VERY highly recommend it.

>>70514610
its kinda like pinkerton but gay
>>70514653
>first song is Allentown
okay you've convinced me
the thread you made didn't convince me but now I'm convinced; checking it out
a pretty generic pick, but i've fallen in love with this album after my streak of listening to a ton of dream pop. The lyrics are surprisingly solid too.
cd version with the remixes
>>70516074
Hope you enjoyed it if you've listened to it already.
>>70514610
$20.07's your change
Vulgar Boatmen - You and Your Sister
It's a compilation of no bullshit, straight to point visceral hardcore punk/powerviolence. Not as prototypical as the stuff that came before it, not as much of a copycat nor so "experimental" (aka gimmicky) they miss the point of the genre as the stuff that came out after.
yeah
>>70516220
This too
>>70517155
>$20.07's your change
>Ween stopped making albums in 2007
>They "changed" from Gener and Deaner to Aaron and Mickey
Maybe a bit of a strange pick, but to me this whole album just covers such a wide gamut of human emotions that it's just an amazing listen any time I feel any sort of way.
>>70514610
"Heroes"
>>70517310
it just makes the pod even more deep. goddamn
If you can get behind the vocals this album is a masterpiece
>>70515790
>>70516220
These are my 10/10s as well
>>70517253
faggot
I will always be a loser
>>70518451
what album is this?
>>70518162
correct
ITT: Low standards.
>>70518871
in your personality: narcissism
>>70517358
>someone else on /mu/ listens to the Who
Fuck yes. Pic related is my 10/10.
Literally every single track is flawless.
>>70514610
>personal 10/10s
as opposed to what? objective ones?
highly personal, long as shit, frickin impenetrable, but a truly mysterious, fantastic album IMO
This end to end,
2nd choices were
Nirvana Unplugged
Abbey Road
The Doors (self)
>>70519053
I think the point is to post album you consider 10/10 depite it not being commonly accepted as such by /mu/
In these threads you typically don't see Kid A or STGSTV or MBDTF, for example.
>>70516000
My nigga
>>70518871
Kys dumb avant teen
sorry
>>70519793
Fuck you. This isn't just a personal 10/10, this IS a 10/10.
>>70519856
Fine then. Adam Sandler's What the Hell Happened to Me?
n e 1 agree?
>>70517359
>>70520814
Yes, definitely agree. My only other 10/10s are Electro-Shock Blues and Ocean Songs.
I really like the outro of only in dreams
>>70519033
>SOUND OF SILVER TALK TO ME
>>70521046
Blue Album is better than Pinkerton, but I'm not embarassed by Pinkerton's cover art so I listen to it more.
>>70514653
Every time I see the cover to this album I think it's a fucking audiobook.
>>7052130
I liked And better, but I totally feel this.
>>70517253
RIGHT ?!?!?!
>there are people who think Corporal Clegg is bad
Best song of all fucking time imo
Just as good as D.I Go Pop and the 5 EP's imo, and one of the few "noise pop" albums that aren't derived from shoegaze or alt rock.
Ida - Will You Find Me
>>70522385
Absolutely
>>70519009
There seem to be a lot of people on /mu/ who worship this album. I like it but its far from flawless imo
This one stands above all the others IMO, and many would agree.
>>70519749
Seriously though this stuff is all so lame. 10 minutes into the Chameleons album and it's so nondescript I can't remember a single thing about it
I'd really like to discover new and interesting music but there's no way I'm wading through 50 hours of this
If you actually consider this 10/10 I don't want to be a dick but it would be nice if people didn't just throw this label around
>>70519053
Things that mean something really special to you on a personal level. Not necessarily technically or because it's all that good.
>>70519955
Awww yeah, got this on my turntable right now. Next to it is Planning for Burial's Leaving.
>>70518830
My man
>>70516033
pinkerton is already pretty gay
>>70518353
agreed
>>70525333
pinkerton contains lyrics by a man, singing about getting laid and wanted to be with women
>>70519829
i like this album but cmon man
>>70523829
this
>>70519955
11/10
>tfw not posting a pic
...Like Clockwork
Turn on the Bright Lights
Plowing Into the Field of Love
>>70514610
>>70514610
Smart Lyrics and vocals unlike nothing you've ever heard. Super-Human Drumming!
>>70520909
The madmen!
Cant go wrong with ELO, and this one is my personal fav
Although I'm no fan of today's Coldplay, Parachutes is one of my personal number one albums.
everything about this is so well crafted. the agonizing efforts in production, the overall tone and feel, the notes it hits, the dips and lows. but what got me the first time I listened through this the first time was Spaceboy.
A lot of people don't even like the track, but to go on the rollercoaster ride of quiet and loud and end up at such a personal song made me cry. it actually made me fucking cry
>>70518750
Layne Staley fucking HURT...like, I know a lot of people get addicted to drugs but he put it into music like nobody I've heard before. their Unplugged is just pain. he's so fucking gone in it and still manages to make a great performance.
>>70514776
The way you type and think you are a special individual snowflake makes me not want to listen to that shitty billy Joel album ever again
>>70522385
I don't think Corporal Clegg is bad, I just think Saucerful is a weak PF album. Syd had just left and they had no idea where they wanted to go from there.
gonna post something i will rightfully get crucified for
>>70526629
who dat?
>>70526126
Prefer Eldorado or Time. Here's my personal 10/10
I, personally, don't believe 10/10 albums exist.
>>70526629
negro we are trying to revive the scene girl online scene/Myspace on /metal/
>>70526687
On par with all their other albums, Ocean is fucking incredible
>>70526708
the drummers sister
>>70517358
I like Quad. but personally as far as the Who rock operas go I prefer Tommy
Absolute 10/10 album. British perfection.
>>70514610
I could understand Let it be Naked getting a high rating
but the original? Cmon
>>70526741
It's on par with Squeeze, and above Loaded with Shit, that's all
>>70525785
