Don't get why you have a problem with each of these tracks with an (obviously different style to the others) being called industrial/melodic/minimal. It's just a way to organise tunes to help people find what they like. Categorisation is human nature, it's only a problem when the categories themselves take over from the human aspect.

Corsica is definitely one of the worst imo.
It can attract shit crowds and the lighting can be weak and not very atmospheric,
just a difficult club to get lost in the music in a lot of the time. Not always though, I've had one absolutely fantastic experience there.

I've enjoyed Oval Space the most.
Pickle Factory can be fantastic too but last time I went it was far too quiet.

Village Underground would be a pitch for one of the best.

Oval Space feels like a school disco, and sound is lacklustre. Apparently they've improved sound & ventilation since Christmas though.

Wouldn't be surprised if the sound can fluctuate though given that Pickle Factory (sister venue) has also pleasantly surprised and greatly disappointed me,
and if there's one thing I can't knock Corsica on it's the consistent quality of sound.

Crowd in Corsica is pretty good I find, agreed about the lighting though but that's not a big deal to me because I usually have my eyes closed in the dance. Honestly the biggest problem is that the place gets so packed because of the quality of bookings they get. Room 1 gets crushed.
Hadn't been to Oval Space in ages until NYD and saw they upgraded it (smoke machine too?). Had an amazing time and definitely need to go back.
Same with the Pickle Factory, solid venue but can be quite dead.
Village Underground just doesn't work well acoustically imo.

Gonna give Pickle Factory another shot, Dekmantel are doing a set in March which I'm interested in but might go for something before that and hope the sound's good.
Saw Cassegrain & Tin Man at Village Underground and everything was absolutely stellar - the sound, the atmosphere, the crowd, absolutely no complaints. We stayed until Efdemin closed the night at 5am.
It was actually one of the best nights I've ever been to, the morning after was a bit dark and I have some uncomfortable memories associated with that morning which slightly tarnishes the memory of one of the best nights out I've ever had.
