You sure? Because after the election it looked like a bunch of college kids who just got done crying in their school lobby and bitching about trump?
>>
>>70409876
The media hates him for good reason. He's unfit as fuck to be president, and I would make a list, but this isn't /pol/.

And people only distrust the media now because he told them to. It's not of independent thought. They're just replacing their authority figure from problematic, but mostly respectable news media to orange mouth piece who got everything handed to him by his daddy.
>>
>>70410566
> Trump indicated his support for war in a radio interview with shock jock Howard Stern on Sept. 11, 2002 — a little more than six months before the war started.

Wrong. They would've negotiated the no-fly zone more likely.

No, she never once mentioned repealing the second amendment, just that loopholes that by-pass background checks end so that people get background checked for guns.

Trump was in favor of it too.

The national debt increased because of Bush, Obama just inherited Bush's bullshit.

Trump supporters hold offices hostage with guns and attack peaceful protesters. Shitty people on both sides, but one candidate is directly supporting the violence.

Mwandishi was the first in a 3 part trilogy of his experimental Jazz fusion albums, where he would push the instrumentation and composition of his albums to his upmost extremes.

The album was named after a Swahili name he gave to himself and would keep during this trilogy of albums. His crew of musicians would also give themselves Swahili names during this time.

The opening track, Ostinado, stands out for it's distorted drums, infectious bass line, and it's unique 15/8 time signature.

Empyrean Isles.jpg
1MB, 1404x1404px
Empyrean Isles is the fourth album by American jazz pianist Herbie Hancock, recorded on June 17, 1964 for Blue Note Records. It features the debut of two of his most popular compositions, "One Finger Snap" and "Cantaloupe Island".

From the original liner notes by Duke Pearson: "This is a quartet album for trumpet and rhythm section. In this circumstance, a problem was created for the composer-arranger, in that the lack of another instrument supporting the lower, richer register, such as a tenor saxophone, might result in a shallow sound. With this problem in mind, Herbie Hancock, who composed and arranged all the tunes, wrote them to sound more like improvisations than ensemble melodies, so that the warmth and fullness of a supporting melody would not be missed. Free sketches were written in such a way that each instrument is allowed great flexibility of interpretation. In many cases, no melodic line was laid out over the chords nor atonal clusters written, so that the trumpeter could supply any melody he wished."

From the 1999 reissue liner notes by Bob Blumenthal: "If someone had ordered up a program that explored four distinct areas of jazz expression with equal brilliance, they could not have done better than Empyrean Isles. It is as if Hancock had set out to present 'changes,' modal, funk and free playing and delivered each at its apex."

The album was recorded by Rudy Van Gelder and produced by Alfred Lion.

This composition features a short melody played in unison (which is only used as an intro, an ending and to tie between solos), followed by a chord progression without a written melody, going straight to improvisation. The real book has the first chorus of Freddie Hubbard's solo written as if it were the head.

Speak Like a Child seems to be one of his more forgotten works in his discography, continuing, once again, with his hard bop style of his last few albums, but adding a few new woodwind and brass instruments to his lineup.

The title track, the second on the album, is a great example of the beautiful sound this album has, with it's beautiful ringing piano, it's calming snare rim and shaker focused rhythm, and it's flutes and brass playing softly along with it.

With it's fun brass and catchy piano throughout, everyone will love this track.

The middle track, King Cobra, is the track with the most energy, with it's loose drum breaks throughout and it's entertaining horn lines that keep the track interesting.

Herbie's third album, Inventions and Dimensions, was released in 1964 .

This is one of Herbie's earlier albums and the reason this one gets a high spot is for it's use of latin percussion. While Herbie's previous albums, (Takin Off and My Point of View) featured the standard jazz setup of drums, piano, bass, and horns, this one dropped the horns in favor of latin percussion such as Timbales and bongos.

This move added some amazing rhythmic elements to the album and gave it a nice, smooth, relaxing feeling throughout.

Maiden Voyage, released in 1965, continued the hard-bop style that Empyrean started but with a slight concept added to the album, with Herbie wanting the album to have an 'oceanic atmosphere', and with several of the tracks refering to the sea or weather.

While many would point to the title track for being his best work, Dolphin Dance I always found to be an underrated piece for it's wonderful horn melodies throughout.

The Prisoner is widely considered his first big 'transitional album', not only style wise, but because it would be his last on the famous jazz label 'Blue Note'.

This album, musically, started to pull away from Hard-Bop with an even smoother, more relaxing style, emphasized mostly with the flute throughout played by Hubert Law.

The opening track, 'I Have a Dream' has a very calming feel, ready to relax any listener it comes across.

Fat Albert Rotunda, released in 1969 shortly after The Prisoner, marked the first big style change in his music, completely switching from his jazz and bebop style to his new Jazz Funk style that he would return to in the 70s.

This album was originally made, as the title indicates, as a soundtrack to the very first Bill Cosby 'Fat Albert' special, which was aired once on television and never re released.

This album is, by far, without a doubt, one of Herbie's strongest, funnest, most energetic LPs he released. And every track is an absolute masterpiece, although Wiggle Waggle stands out as the centerpiece of this as a fun, funky opening track.

The second part of the trilogy, Crossings, was released in 1972, with the same, extreme experimenting that was on the previous LP.

This album is notable for 2 reasons, the first being including the new member Patrick Gleeson, who would play synthesizers on the album with him, and the fact that only 1 of the 3 songs was composed by Herbie himself while the other 2 were composed by bandmate and friend Bernie Maupin.

The multi-parted, 24 minute opening for the album, was the sole track written by Hancock. In it's 24 minutes the track it tries to do as much as possible, with a samba percussion opening followed by a chaotic electronic piano solo, slowly fading into a funky breakdown mid track.

Sextant was by far the most experimental of the trilogy, and his first to be on Columbia label instead of warner bros. This would be the last of his experimental albums before switching his style back to a previous one found a few years previously.

While many people admire 'Rain Dance' for it's VERY experimental use of synthesizers and drum machines throughout, never really forming a cohesive melody, the best track to introduce someone to this album would be Hidden Shadows, while not 'calm' by any means it's less strange than the other 2 by comparison, making it a good introduction to this album for new listeners.

you fucking idiot. by FEDERAL LAW vendors have to do it. i used to work in a gun store. you can't bullshit me on this. a private seller (an individual) can sell to another individual depending on state, without a 4473. the differnce being a vendor is actual business with guns that have a bill of sale, and a time they came into the FFL's possession. you really have no clue what you're talking about.
