I know this is just a shitpost thread, but maybe I can get some actual useful information here.

If I want to tune a 34" scale 5-string bass up to CGCFA, should I get a 6-string pack and omit the 6th string? Most 5-string packs would probably be too much tension, but would that be too little tension?

That's only useful if you know the gauge or the tension you want, I don't know either
