I miss when house went kind of big in the UK a few years back. Stuff like MK, Secondcity, Route 94, etc.

I get that some of their tracks had a lot of mainstream appeal, but they were still essentially half-decent club tunes. Also all these "house night" events started popping up in clubs and 90s inspired house and garage tracks were being played on the radio. It didn't really catch on anywhere else, but if any man here is from the UK they'll know what I'm talking about. There was also "jackin" house which was pretty decent.

Too bad that sound died off quickly, it's like everyone either went the generic Beatport tech house route or started making "future """"""house""""""" and now house music as a whole has mostly lost its appeal here.
