Yeah what this poster said.
Sabbath was way better when thinking about it, Zepplin had a fantastic vibe and were very good live but musically they were just limited, they just made ok albums with one good album in the bunch while sabbath experimented a whole lot and had 5 albums in a row that were incredible and very different from each other.

what do you mean better? black sabbath was a metal band, zeppelin was a rock band with occasional hard rock songs
you can compare sabbath with rainbow, not with zeppelin

Sabbath
Ozzy era Sabbath > Zeppelin > Post Ozzy Sabbath
Early Zepplin just ripped off what Cream did on stage while Sabbath were getting stoned and listening to Miles Davis and John Coltrane and trying to figure out how to play that shit on guitar instead of a trumpet.
Black Sabbath wins hands down.
I like sabbath as much a the next guy but the level of talent in zeppelin puts them on an entirely different plane. Zeppelin live was also way better.

I'd say Ozzy Sabbath > Dio Sabbath > Zeppelin > All other Sabbath

LOL
Zeppelin if their other albums except for their first didn't exist

Are you fucking deaf? Zeppelin shit all over Sabbat as far as technic and rythm goes, this is undeniable.
Sabbat had a more original vibe, aesthetic and sound, and were arguably more influential. Both had fantastic melodies and songwritting. I'd say Sabbat are better overall out of sheer quantity of outpu.
The main difference between them, is that Zeppelin just ripped off a lot of songs , while Sabbath was actually more creative and did much more for the music . I like Zeppelin more anyway , but it doesn't mean they are better. Sorry for my english

>technic and rythm
no, technically Page is complete shit, Iommi beats him even fingerless, and black sabbath's Geezer Ward rhythm section was incredible, far more influential than lz rhythm section. Bonham himself was an admirer of it.
Led Zep can be great but no one beats Tony Iommi's legacy.
Iommi is at least as good of a guitarist as Page with half as many fretting fingers
Black Sabbath by far
