as much as I'd love to get into this guitar, I just can't. The lower horn is so retardedly short that is uncomfortable; the higher horn is so far in toward the neck that you can't get le epic solo shredding going on; the ginormous metal bridge is out of proportion to the rest of the guitar. It literally looks like someone was hopped up on drugs when they designed this.

They're definitely "Nu-Male:The Guitar", but they can sound pretty good. I like the jazzmaster for the noiseless setting and how aggressive the jaguar can sound, but there's just so many better options for the price.

real nu male guitars are the inferior offsets like Mustangs and Jagstangs

Nowhere near as good a guitar as jags and jazzmasters but still got the hip indie appeal

the worst part about JM's and Jags is if you ever want to change from standard to Drop D or something, you have to retune every fuckin string

also, the process of stretching new strings and breaking them in takes 5x longer than a normal guitar. Even worse than a strat. Frustrating as all hell

I do like playing jazzmasters and the tremelo works really well once it's set up, but they are just such a pain in the ass

I've embarrassed myself

Jazzmaster sound good. I also was a jag hating lad but recently i got a jaguar and discovered that rolling down the volume a little bit it is enough to make it sound good. Then after tweaking you learn how to get some good shit. With 11s you avoid lots of problems and i though intonation was actually stable and decent. After playing it a lot i finally accepted it: Yeah i actually liked the jaguar...cool guitar.
Yesterday after playing the jag i plugged my tele to my bassman amp (after not using it long time ago). The tele blew the fucking jaguar away in pure sound and feel and reminded me why the jag is a fucking meme guitar (but is kinda cool and you can dig it... and now i understand why indie kids who don´t know better idolize them...)

I despise those people but I love the burst. Not because of Kurd Cobalt, in fact none of my favourite guitarists even own anything in sunburst, or even an offset 7ender. It's just a taste I've developed on my own to be honest with you fellow family member.

I just sold my Les Paul to buy buy a Jaguar instead :)
