ITT: Your go-to autumn and winter albums
Geogaddi's what I listen to during autumn.
one of the signs you're well on your way to being middle-aged is unironically loving Sting's winter album and looking forward to playing it every year when the first snow falls
I have absolutely no regrets - it's a legitimately great album for that winter mood!

Anyone else have a job where they get to choose the music they listen to over the speakers?
I'm in need of some good plebeian, fairly"work-safe" music to listen to in addition to what I have, any recommendations for stuff like that? For example:
Creedence Clearwater Revival
Bowie
Motley Crue
Gorillaz
The Beatles
Red Vox
Meat Loaf
ABBA
Beastie Boys
Cake
Stuff along those lines that isn't painful to listen to?
All I gotta say is,
Thin Lizzy - The Boys are back in town
Over and over again, all day all night

>last.fm has finally gone off the deep end
So what are my alternatives?
>actually using last.fm in 2016
annoying as it is, it's hardly unreasonable. quit bitching

>actually being a namefag in any year
Why is this album so maligned, μ?
>catchy hooks like TMS on most of the songs
>stripped-down NLDW sound on Eh, Trash, and 80808
>instrumental aggression/timbre from JD on a whole bunch of songs
>80808 could almost be a NOTM song
>Trash could be a GP song with more Ride, and the rest of the album has some similar instrumentals
>Interview's style shows up on TBiaGN and surely more
The only other album of theirs I don't see influencing this much is Exmilitary, so why isn't BP considered some of their best?
>>68219594
idk man i like it
>>68219594
people really like this album and if there's been a recent turn against it than I sure haven't noticed it!
Because it sounds like The Greatest Hits
Greeting denizens of /mu/! My friends consider me an expert of sorts on music, and I can give you guys some good listening advice.
After browsing for a couple hours, it would seem that a lot of /mu/-heads are unfamiliar with a lot of essential classics, so I decided to make a chart from this cool website that I got from /r/hiphopheads relaying my taste to get across some of the essential classics that you should be listening to.
The website, by the way is neverendingchartrendering.org!
I'll also be willing to give some recommendations! Who's first?

>>68219217
listened to it yesterday.liked it a lot.
Can we have a guide/chart thread? Either for specific artists or types of music.
I only have a handful, sorry if any are considered outdated.
My friend (kind of) has assburgers and thinks music is for normal minds and not for him. I convinced him to listen to a playlist and some albums that I will put together to change his mind.
What should I include?
Recommend some music for a 19 year old guy with aspergers, almost no friends, who is really into programming and thinks he's better than other people and feels very isolated.
I'm thinking Radiohead, Depeche Mode, The Smiths, Mac DeMarco that he could easily appreciate without having listened to music at all, almost.
Suggestions?
Tool
lol, the funny thing is that real music is literally made specifically for aspies
>>68219115
But why?
>>68219118
Yeah, but he doesn't believe that. He thinks it's for lesser minds or some shit.

omg queen slay!!!
why do the flaming lips suck so much now?
they always did, you grew out of the meme
Pic unrelated? The Terror and Embryonic are some of their best.
The Flaming Lips generally put out really good stuff, but they just haven't done much since that album and the Beatles thing which WAS bad.
The past four years of their active output have been stellar. New album is promising.
