First for meme pedals
bought a squier classic 50s vibe telecaster in butterscotch blonde (used) yesterday. new-ish player and p happy with it. action is really really low though. cant fit a coin under the strings at 12, and i get this very faint buzzing on some of the strings when im playing hard. i can only really here it when i have my amp turned way down though.
what strings should i put on this pup? also should i get the action raised or just rock it?
>>68212762
Get strings that you're comfortable with.
Are the ones you have now too heavy or would you like even thicker?
If you don't like the buzzing, raise the action until it stops, but not so high that you find it uncomfortable.
There really isn't a set answer to these questions, it's all what you find best.

When dealing with jazz alterations in a solo piano context, are there any guidelines I should follow or is everything dependant on my ears?
And can I 'stack' alterations? For example, I could make the left hand play a flat 5, and then make the right hand play a sharp 5 an octave higher.
>>68170050
Well, primarily, if it sounds good, do it.
Also, a flat5 and a sharp5 could be regarded as sharp11 flat13, which are both part of the altered scale:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altered_scale
and the corresponding chord
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Altered_chord#Jazz
does have a sharp and a flat 5.
Alt chords are always dominant V chords, btw.
>>68170050
about arbitrary alterations, stuff you'd usually alterate are avoid notes of every chord/scale (like the 11 in a maj7 chord). Furthermore, any non-essential degree and extension of a chord should be good to alterate (everything but 1, 3 and 7).
That's what I got from reading the Jazz Harmony Book by Levine so far.

I don't enjoy most things without weed including music. Does anyone have a have a vice like mine and if you do what goes best with your high?
Which mental/drug/alcohol state do you have to be in to get the most out of it?
>>68232568
I love listening to music on weed. I love doing anything on weed, but if you find yourself in a position where you can't have fun or find interest in something without being high. then you're doing it wrong.
I used to smoke weed excessively and then stopped giving a shit. After coming back to it, Hammock's "Raising Your Voice... Trying to Stop an Echo" blew my shit out of the water when I was completely ripped.
Super ambient yet full. Insane amounts of layering pop out after ripping a bowl.

I fancy myself personally successful. I am happy in life and in a position where I can always afford weed.
why is Annie taking so long? when is her next album coming out?
is her libido responsible for the delay? is she too busy getting over Cara?

The fact that the U2 album, the album that took 5 years after other scrapped records and considered "their most personal album" by the band, was put on all iOS devices and still tanked says something.
