Like most notable rock bands, it's first album was a 10/10 classic, it's second album was an underrated 8/10, and then they just released uninspired stuff that varies in quality for a decade. They're unique in that they've actually had a great album as of late in the white album.

The chromatic line is an interesting idea, but it's clashing quite a bit with the counter subjects. There are several Fugues in the wtp that use chromatic lines, although with slower note values, maybe have a look there?
