Good band or meme?
15 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>68554838
both

music is good but the band themselves are kind of pseudo-insightful dicks who got overhyped because they sing about existentialism
>>
>>68554889
Pretty much
There music is good but it seems like they want to be a meme band
>>
>>68554889
I've never heard a better description. Seeing them live is only nice if you close your eyes during the performance and don't listen to them talk in between the songs

Is he up to anything music wise now? I remember their last album was supposed to have a sequel at some point, like he said that he was recording 2 back to back, then he released the first one and I haven't heard about the second one at all.

Steve Howe from Yes and Asia here! My son Dylan introduced me to this site in 2010 and I've been browsing anonymously and having a look at the community in general...Quite like /ac/ and /tv/ so far, I'm surprised that Yes gets brought up so often in /mu/ - didn't think you people would like the oldies! Feel free to ask me any questions...

I felt kinda disappointed by the show desu, maybe I had built up expectations but it just fell flat, maybe the sound in coalition sucked or something.

Also where the fuck did you travel from anon?

Why haven't you accepted the fact that The Replacements are the best band of the 1980s yet? Seriously, who's better? Pixies? Sonic Youth? Talking Heads? Husker Du? The Smiths? Minutemen? early Swans? No. The Replacements were everything that was cool about the 1980s rolled up into one band. They were hardcore, post-punk, new wave, alternative, and even started to show some influence from classic metal bands like Judas Priest and Motorhead.

The Replacements > Your Favorite Band

Deal with it.

ok

I have accepted this, and I want to find more bands like them. Since you're a clearly a fan, mind sharing any similar favorites?

boring, corny, and formulaic. I could barely finish it
The only reasons the first one was good was because it wasn't awful and it was first
