Be honest, if P4k gives an album a 9.0>, do you automatically feel more inclined to like it?
It's probably the opposite for me but I'll certainly be more inclined to give it a listen.
It's nice when an album you like gets high ratings in places but I generally don't care about ratings at all and I like quite a few albums that have poor Pitchfork or RYM ratings.
why the fuck would you care about p4k ratings when scaruffi and RYM exist
Cause I keep that kush up on me

Everything sounds good on them. The only reason to go close-back is if audio leakage is a deal breaker.

Björk with "It's Oh So Quiet"
i liked Awaken My Love
but i heard that it's influence by other music is too obvious.
what funk music should i listen to instead?
Start with Maggot Brain by Funkadelic.
Too bad only the singles were good/memorable
LMAO the rest was a mess cohesively and hard to enjoy the loudness and random autotune shit
Album is def a step down from BTI, don't listen to the memes. The cover art is also not great and the album concept is pretentious.
>>70242335
>Album is def a step down from BTI
explain now
>song has fake vinyl crackling
>vinyl ripped with a potato
>song was sampled using real vinyls which you can hear crackling
>song has fake skipping sounds
>song has reversing randomly
>song is 20 minutes long and the last 15 minutes are of nothing
Feel free to disagree, enjoy being wrong.
This man gave us 3 classics (SSLP, MMLP and TES) and a cult classic Relapse. Not to mention 8 Mile and the soundtrack which were awesome and his work with D-12. His flows, storytelling and concepts were genius in his prime (97-04)
He is ultimately a legend, and while some of recent stuff isn't prime level, he still has gems and deserves the fame and recognition. So you hipster cunts can disagree all you want but put on SSLP for a few minute and realize how great he truly is. /Thread
>>70242099
Infinite is his best song tho and you don't mention it
>>70242116
Infinite is also underrated but I would still say it's a 7/10 overall, the latter end of the album falls off a little and it didn't have the creativity and humor of his later work.
Mhm..Ok, Stan...
I'm just gonna leave this here...

I think The White Birch is one of the only albums that comes close to I Could Live In Hope or Long Division in terms of the sheer relatable suicidal depression I experience often

Nah
Avey = Mario / rounded character
Panda = Luigi (Mario clone with subtle quirky gimmick in movement or attack or something)
Deak = Character with high special attack and unpredictability but poor speed or regular attack
Geo = Glass cannon, the tryhard option

It would be pretty lit. Carly would be cute spice, Charli would be slutty spice, and Bones would be handsome spice.
Easily one of the most underrated artists of our generation.

/thread
hes a good producer but hes far from underrated, especially as a lyricist
OK so here's how my """""""creative""""""" process usually goes:
>try writing/recording a few songs
>spend an insane amount of time developing it
>slowly realize it's shit, even after all that time and effort spent
>trash it
>feel like shit
>doubt myself
>start comparing myself to other artists I like
>slowly begin to realize I'm delusional if I think I'm ever going to be successful as a musician
>get down in the dumps
>cry a lil
>don't even try again until sometime next year
>build hope
>repeat process ad nauseam
how do I break this cycle?
By granting yourself the sweet release of death
two things.
don't compare yourself to other artists. I know that's a hard one, but that's a surefire way to kill any motivation.
2nd thing, just release the shit anyways. if you absolutely can't release it, at the very least don't trash it. You'll come back to it after a couple weeks and be amazed how good it actually was.
you have anything online?
>>70241603
>you have anything online?
Nope. Too scared to put anything up there yet. haven't made anything I'm even remotely proud of.

I'm envying him. I mean, the whole cuckoldry/double homicide must have been heavy on him, but apart from that he lived the perfect musician life.
