lmao the guitar tone is awful, overproduced wank, the riffs are fucking basic nu-metal shit and the song 'structures' are plagued with ridiculous, nonsensical, awkward transitions (see the way the title track's intro segues into the verse) and non-ideas stretched out beyond sanity (holy SHIT that fucking riff in some kind of monster)

album cover is pretty cool tho, and it spawned one of the greatest musical documentaries ever

As a brit, my opinion is that the UK has historically surpassed America in basically everything in rock, pop and electronic music - but has contributed very little of value to the musical world since the end of the 90s. Talk Talk, Radiohead and the big 3 of IDM are probably the last really important things we produced. Maybe Dizzee's first album. But I can't think of a single UK group that formed after the turn of the millenium that has been anything more than a throwaway nostalgia act aping periods of our musical history when we were actually vital and innovative.
