My method it to find a website that offers various genres of music and that you can listen and search for specific genres.

I like EDM, so I've been following Monstercat on Soundcloud. I also like metal/instrumental/VGM, so if I hear a song from a video game that I like, I'd search on Google for a remix of the song with the associated genre I'm looking for. I've also played some rhythm games that offer unique artists/songs such as Cytus and Deemo (games distributed for both Android and iPhone).

I tend to go back and forth between metal and EDM. Most of my music is instrumental, but I started to incorporated various genres (and vocals) to my library as I've heard genre mash-ups such as "symphonic/orchestral dubstep" in which a certain part of the song features violin a the lead sound with an "epic" feel to it and then switches to the aggressive bass of dubstep.

I think that the best way to actually find music is to search for it. Go on Google/YouTube/Soundcloud and other websites or platforms that you can listen to and keep looking for new stuff. You might not find anything at all at first, but you'll eventually hear something that you'll like and then you'll search for the artist, the album, the record label, the genre. You start with a song you like and then you explore similar songs and try to find out what pleases you.

Solid choice but I think DS2 and Barter 6 are interchangeable depending on your mood. Also Trap Niggas is a bonus track and debuted on 56 nights. I really enjoy Thought It Was a Drought and Slave Master.

Can't comment on the others but some I haven't heard in a long time and some others I haven't heard at all. Also for some reason you forgot Flockaveli. That album still bangs incredibly hard after all these years. Definitly a contender for best trap album of all time along with DS2 and Barter 6.

You are right about Trap Niggas. I love that track so much, but naming a bonus track as best track is kind of lame. Thought It Was A Drought seems like a good choice.

Flockaveli is amazing but this list is about the last 5 years only.
