Anyone else that doesn't wanna grow up? I'm about to graduate high school and it's killing me. I wasted so much time being sad and I know I'm gonna look back on this when I'm older and regret it. Music for this feel?

Why don't you want to grow up? High school was shit for me and I couldn't wait to leave it.
>>70629521
The innocence of being a high schooler, where you're starting to find yourself while being aware of the world around you. I don't know how to explain it. but just being a little free before a shitton of responsibility falls on you.
>>70629541
College gives you much more free time than high school, though. Unless you choose a very difficult schedule.
What is your favorite scene?
The late 80s/early 90s Ukrainian underground was pretty cool.

college aint what it used to be
I was just recently introduced to Skrewdriver and they're great. I'm looking for skinhead or other fringe music recommendations.
I'm a hardcore liberal and find their views reprehensible but good music is good music.
Pic related, copped these from ebay. Only keeping the Built Up, Knocked Down one, selling the other two to friends. I don't want or need three Skrewdriver records in my collection.
Swervedriver
Not really similar but they have similar names and that's pretty cool.
They're shit. Don't even bother with that garbage.
>>70629032
Recommend me something better, then. I know they're entry level for this type of music. I don't run in the communities that listen to this stuff so I have no idea what's good.
This is the golden record that was launched with the Voyager I probe on September 5 1977, featuring many songs and musics of Earth.
Let's say that you are chosen to pick 3 songs that would represent humanity's musical advance since 1977 for a new probe launching tomorrow.
What would it be? Justify your choice
>>70628768
>implying Ayy lmaos would listen to your shitty vaporwave music.
Something from Centipede Hz because they made that album based on what they thought alien radio stations might play.

Don't worry, I'm sure it sounded smarter in your head
No matter how "patrician" or obscure your music tastes are now, chances are, unless you are some kind of ethereal music-gathering robot you first started off listening to something relatively well known and popular.
ITT: We share the first band that made us fall in love with music. How do you feel about that band or artist today?
For me, technically I guess the first one would be Reel Big Fish, but in less than a year they would be replaced entirely by pic related. The Who is the first band that I actually kind of connected with on an emotional level rather than just thinking it was danceable or whatever the fuck I liked about RBF.
I still love them to this day and they are still my favorite. RBF, I'm not very into at all, and wish I could go back and stop myself from having at one time liking them.

Coldplay - Clocks
dont even care

SOAD was the first band that I really loved. I know all their lyrics by heart.
Today I don't listen to them that much, although I still think their s/t is amazing.
I went to their show in my city in 2015. It was fun
i didn't really get into a specific band i just likes guitar hero and rock band
and gorillaz
Well /mu/, which do you prefer?

>Springsteen is all right, by the way. He gets my seal of approval—I think he’s groovy. You notice the way the critics turned on him, like, after they were on him, right? When he needed them, they weren’t there. Critics. What does Robert Christgau do in bed? You know, is he a toe-fucker? Man, anal-retentive—The Consumer’s Guide to Rock? What a moron! A Consumer’s Guide to Rock, man! I object to the fucking liner notes. Start studying rock ‘n’ roll? I can’t believe it. “Baroque Rock: A Study by Robert Christgau.” John Rockwell, man. Wow! You know how heavy it is to get reviewed by Rockwell, and he says you’re intelligent? Fuck you! I don’t need you to tell me that I’m good. “Mr. Reed.” You know, you say, “Oh, man, I’m in The New York Times, it said ‘Mr. Reed.’” Fuck you! Your doorman wouldn’t kiss my ass, man, I don’t give a jackal. He, right, he studies at Harvard, right—monologue—but dig this, man, opera! A fucking opera guy, man! And that’s the critic for The New York Times that makes and breaks the best rock bands that are very heavy and intelligent. Notice there are no colored rock groups? Certainly not in The New York Times with John Roberts [sic]—he wouldn’t go there, man, he comes to CBGB’s with an armed guard: “Don’t touch me, man.” And he’s a big dude. Somebody should say, “John, don’t be afraid.” And Christgau is like an anal-retentive. Nice little boxes. “B-plus.” Can you imagine working for a fucking year and you got a B-plus from an asshole in The Village Voice? And you don’t gotta take this shit. You don’t have to talk to the fucking journalists, man. And they get in for free, and the best seats, in case you’re interested—and there’s no way we can do anything about it. The club owners want the good review. So you get the asshole right up front, looking bored. He’s going, “When is this shit over, Marty? You got some coke?” Oh, boy. Anyway. I know you’re not interested in my problems: Neither am I….
>tfw too intelligent for pop

I always loved this part
What did Kanye mean by this?
any album/movie/game he posts or likes is kino, so in this case he's saying this album is audiokino

"I'm a hack whose talent has been long exhausted but I understand that the masses have omitted critical faculties in favor of vapid copy-pasting and anything I post/release/share will as such be regarded as a post-modern classic held in the highest regard."
That's assuming that he's intelligent and self-aware.
>>70627892
hes just promoting the album because it came out. what are you asking?
ITT: Albums you genuinely can't believe people like.
Pic related
>>70627885
people only like suffy because he's gay honestly
>>70627885
the arrangements sound unreal on a good quality setup
what dont you like about it?
>>70627947
Its forced, contrived whimsy and the arrangements are obnoxious and teaspoon thin. There's no an ounce of genuine emotional sentiment and Sufjan thinks a load of whispy, "quirky" corporate sentimentality is a suitable substitute.
How do you organize your digital music collection?
Mine's typically
Band Name / Album Name / Track Name
There might be a CD folder between album and track folders if it's necessary. Tracks also start with the track number and end with the name
Always Band>Album>Song
If I have demos for an album I put it in the album folder
Singles get their own folder
What do you do if two bands have the same name?
>>70627860
you gotta preface the album with the release year

Anything to recommend similar to Candy Claws?
Fell in love with them recently...and yeah Ive heard Sound of Ceres.
Nah you got em both. Hammock's album from last year maybe? Or just get into shoegaze
Not exactly the same vibe but check out Fishmans - Long Season
There's not much else exactly like them, just check out more neo-psych. Gang Gang Dance would be a good one to try.
