Why do you guys hate real music so much?
Why can't you handle criticism?
>>71197590
'We' don't. I'm listening to Planet B.E.N. - Future Trippy Garden (1996) right now bishnigga.
>>71197621
>its shit
>boring
>pleb
>git gud taste faggot
>i listen to real music
Are these criticism?
If I think this is an 8.5/10, what will I think is a 10/10?
>>71197400
Probably some XTC album, though no-one seems to agree which of there's is best. I would say this.
>>71197400
>tfw people think that capitalism isn't satire
Is this the best live album ever? Every song is superior to it's studio counterpart. Blood Promise is a discography highlight. That moment in The Sound is spine chilling.
>>71197176
alive 2007 shits on it
>>71197176
It's up there, but pic related is better.
>>71197188
>daft punk
>shits on Swans' magnum opus
Spotify:
>download modded apk (ifags btfo)
>listen to whatever the fuck you want without limits
Deezer:
>Get deezloader
>download any album you fucking want in 320 without any DRM bullshit
I officially declare this the best music combo ever.
Isn't Deezer piracy though?
>download modded apk
where???
>>71197026
How would they guess anyway
>He thinks he's too good for RYM
>yfw you use RYM for the convenient tool that it is and ignore any immature identity politics related to it
>>71196737
I'm a part of what some people call the "alt-right" and it feels punk as FUCK. It feels like an actual counter culture, or rebellion against the PC culture that dominates American colleges.
>>71196763
>is so obsessed with the substanceless political rhetoric on 4chan that he immediately associates identity politics with it exclusively

>>71196614
why do you always post your shill album paited with some other albums?
I'm really out of the loop, guys. can I please get some recommendations on good recent music? what's the current state of things?
I haven't listened to anything new since Benji. the only upcoming release I'm excited for is the new Mount Eerie. I'll listen to any genre but I mostly prefer introspective stuff I guess.
thanks
>>71196563
>haven't listened to anything new since Benji
Well, Kozelek's new album dropped a few days ago for starters
>>71196584
come on man I can't listen to that. there's no way it can hold a candle to Benji
https://rateyourmusic.com/collection/Androol/recent/
And tomorrow's gonna be fucking huge so might as well just dive right in and listen to anything that comes out.
>band has less than 3 members
You can't really call it a band in those cases. It's a solo act or a duo.
I think Local H had 2 guys remember them
>band has 1000 members
start listening to Beyoncé
only dumb racismo-sexismo hate beyonce desu
would you rather fuck beyonce or kanye
>>71195723
kanye
So /mu/ what's your opinion on this album? Favorite song?
I liked it, would have liked it more if it had been a bit more of a departure from DM. Favorite song's between Confusion and Murder One.
Honestly, second best produced Metallica album behind ride the lightning
I actually like it a lot. A little too many songs for my liking, but the good songs are actually really good
>>71195425
It's pretty good. Probably the best album they've done since Black.
>"Real Emo" only consists of the dc Emotional Hardcore scene and the late 90's Screamo scene. What is known by "Midwest Emo" is nothing but Alternative Rock with questionable real emo influence. When people try to argue that bands like My Chemical Romance are not real emo, while saying that Sunny Day Real Estate is, I can't help not to cringe because they are just as fake emo as My Chemical Romance (plus the pretentiousness).
Real emo sounds ENERGETIC, POWERFUL and somewhat HATEFUL. Fake emo is weak, self pity and a failed attempt to direct energy and emotion into music.
Some examples of REAL EMO are Pg 99, Rites of Spring, Cap n Jazz (the only real emo band from the midwest scene) and Loma Prieta.
Some examples of FAKE EMO are American Football, My Chemical Romance and Mineral
EMO BELONGS TO HARDCORE
NOT TO INDIE, POP PUNK, ALT ROCK OR ANY OTHER MAINSTREAM GENRE
So, not early or mid 90s? Wtf
when did we begin
when did we begin
WHEEEEEEN
when did we begin
WHEN
DID
WE
BEGIN!?!?!?!?!?!?
WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEN?!?!?!?
pg 99 is the mcdonalds of emo

Are you lost?
Is it possible to start from scratch? I'm currently working on my first EP (about 10 tracks) and I want to share my music on this platform.
This is kinda of a "debut" and almost every friend I have don't have a soundcloud. I cannot start sharing my music "locally" because my town is very small and not so into my genre.
So once I create a SoundCloud, how can I share my music and receive feedbacks?
Should I release a couple tracks or it is fine to realease my whole EP?
Thanks for advise. Also everyone who wants to share his experience in growing his audience is welcome.
Thought this was a sharethread first.
/Mu Sc threads are a good way to get some traffick. Imo Releasing tracks one at a time works best if you want to maximize exposure to your base following.
Release EP when ppl care about your stuff enough :)
>>71195316
Thank you!
>>71195316
Yeah just about this
You could also try going to Internet labels via bandcamp and seeing if they'll pick up your album. A following is definitely necessary though. Something you'll build up if you post in soundcloud threads frequently and connect with others. Hype up any albums or projects you have coming, people love it. I in fact just got hyped from 311's new album and preordered it today
this is some avantgarde shit, mates
My program will take a maximum of 10 seconds from either:
- a youtube link (if you share at a specific time, the offset will be taken into account). If you add an "e" parameter to it, it takes the specified number of seconds, like this
https://youtu.be/OT0cOO4pAG4?t=2m51s&e=2s
- a vocaroo link
- or your comment with the following format:
The first word in each line determines the instrument:
<instrument> (<note> <duration>)*
violin A3 1 A4 2 D3 4
guitar A4 4 D2 1
The instrument has to be one word. The durations: 1 is a full note, 2 half, 4 quarter, 8 eights, 16 sixteenth.
All lines in your comment will be played at the same time. Your comment will be played after the first comment you replied to.
