this
Hi /mu/, been a while.
I'm (my band and I are) still working on career suicide - an extended range tech metal opera, stealing as much from outside influences as possible while still falling more or less in the bounds of something Sumerian or eOne might entertain.
Which means I'm still open for ideas to steal. You guys have been very helpful so far! I've co-opted some Bartok and Debussy, Coltrane, and there's even three-and-a-half bars of self-referential vaporwave...
Anyone else want to help me destroy my "career"?
>>71361706
You should write it about one of the lesser known founding fathers of the US.
>>71361750
If we were an American band, maybe.
The storyline is set in stone (have to have something for the music and lyrics to wrap around in a 1.5h piece) - it's fairly tragic without being TOO cringy. We're probably happier with it than a lot of the music we've written for it.
>>71361816
You'll have to forgive me if I think the thought of writing a tech metal opera that isn't cringey is hilarious. I can't foresee any outcome where that'd be anything but obscenely melodramatic.
His career died a long time ago my friend

That's ridiculous.

alt country fucking blows
>>71360863
Agreed.
Superior country like Johnny Rebel will always be the go to.
I saw him as an opening act for Built to Spill. He was alright, but it just reminds you how much his music sounds like music from better bands.
literally who?
Can anyone give me a /rundown/ on how Alan Wilson was secretly a half-Bogdanoff/half-Jew hybrid?
Who cares
