Ive seen countless people hate on spotify here on /mu/. I find it alright, whats so bad about it and what do you recommend is better?
works for me. milky chance sucks shit tho
>>74960778
There is nothing better, and I think that's what people get so upset about.
Lack of tagging, terrible recommendation system, no filtering, terrible catalogs of Jazz and ridiculous focus on singles and playlists. For your more dedicated music listener, it makes for a bit of an awkward listening experience. But the ability to download albums for playing is amazing.

A HDD
2014: no one outside of Canada knows who Alvvays is
2017: everyone knows who Alvvays is, new album is one of the most hyped indie releases of the year
I'm really into the Canadian indie scene and this is fucking rare. This really goes to show how far touring as an opener in the states can get you.
>>74960725
>tfw canadian
>found out about them like a month ago
It sucks growing old eh
>>74960725
I'm Canadian and I've never heard of them.
Alvvays are boring

Seriously, is there anything this woman can't do?
be attractive

That's a dude
There are no great album made by musicians older than 40.
Prove me wrong.
Jazz and classical don't count.
A Moon Shaped Pool - Radiohead
Year Zero -NIN
To Be Kind/The Glowing Man - Swans?

It's not like it's bad to purchase an electronically produced vinyl in the first place
>>74960496
this is just comical at this point. how many times has it "sold out?" 4?
Name a genre that the Beatles haven't performed in either as a band or as solo artists
Protip: You probably can, but they still covered a lot of styles
Rap
>>74960446
extreme metal, in any form
Grindcore
This man is the savior of country music.
Pretty much
>>74960402
I hate most country music, but metamodern sounds is such a great album
Nah. Maybe if he was more prolific.
>He considers himself a "music lover" but doesn't listen to jazz, folk and classical music
>>74960356
>jazz
dead genre
>folk
mostly boring poseurshit
>classical
good but who cares?
>>74960388
You do know that actual folk music isn't Mumford and Sons, right?
>>74960388
kill yourselff
>mfw pretending to enjoy avant-garde music
Listen to more simple music, part of the enjoyment is getting tired of listening to the same songs in every genre
Have you tried avant-garde crossovers?
Straight avant-garde is not meant to be enjoyed

I wish I was a girl..
I'm not a trans though
Is it bad that I actually like this song? I usually can't stand mumble rap.
I don't get why everyone likes it. It feels like I'm missing something. The hook is kinda catchy but it goes downhill after the first minute. Also catchy
≠ good. It has a 3.6 rating on RYM for fuck's sake.
>>74960252
It's just unexpected from a guy like Lil Uzi. The sound of a guy yelling "all my friends are dead/push me to the edge" on mainstream radio is pretty striking, especially in rap music.
It is pretty good, i think it is one of the songs that will go down in history, but uzi usually is trash.
Albums that signified bands getting their shit back together
I think you mean the White Album OP
That's not EWBAITE
I did not like the metal that was Hosannas from the Basement Of Hell.
Is this the best thing synthpop had to offer? General thoughts on this album?
>>74960151
First song was good. As far as i got desu. Imo closer by joy division was the pinnacle of synth pop
>>74960168
/mu/ everybody.
>>74960195
Well tbf i think most of the genre is trash. Unless ypu can sell it.
Is it possible to cover Neutral Milk Hotel well? I've watched many professional musicians try, and nobody really emulates his energy and passion.
I tried to cover two of his songs so far. Here's Oh Comely.

I don't really like The Avett Brothers but their cover was perfectly fine imo
