important question /mu/: what do these three bands mean to you?
Panics first two albums are good
MCR is good all around
FOB had a good three album run thru the mid to late 2000s, wasnt a fan of take this to your grave
future dadrock
it means i'm getting old
basically they're the emo trinity
>he thinks music is objective
You know there is no way to objectively rank music right? Justin Bieber is objectively as good as Mozart is objectively as good as Lil Shark. Art can't be graded on any objective scale, either you like it or you don't
Our inability to intelligently construct a scale to which all may be measured is not proof of a reality incapable of having such a scale exist in it's vectors.
Thanks for stating the obvious, Sherlock.
>this is what millennials believe
Postmodernism was a mistake
I just had a realization: These two critics represent two general types of music listeners, specifically those on /mu/.
Many think music is subjective and that any art has value to a certain audience. They listen to whatever they want, including a mix of popular music and some more obscure music, just as long as they enjoy it. These types are like Fantano, who consistently tells us his reviews are merely his opinion and will review certain artists well who might be considered trash here, like Tame Impala or alt J.
Others consider art to be more objective and like to challenge themselves as they explore new music. They search for albums they consider to be objectively better by seeking out newer more innovative sounds, or past albums which may have had a large amount of influence for their originality. There's nothing inherently wrong with this, but they have the potential to become self labeled patricians and be dicks to those who enjoy albums they see as objectively inferior, especially when that band is really popular (THE FACT THAT). These types would probably favor Scaruffi.
Which one are you? Which critic do you like better?
i only read ian cohen reviews
they're both nu-male fags
Neither.
Scaruffi's a petty idiot and Fantano is ignorant

It's so unmemorable I don't even bother rating it, same with Views. Drake was really serious about selling out.
Since Drake is a businessman out for profit it must really suck for him that Chuck Berry died at the same time and will take all his thunder.
Must really hurt the bottom-line. Sucks when you make music just for the money.
''I am so sad to hear about Chuck Berry passing - a big inspiration! He will be missed by everyone who loves Rock 'n Roll. Love & Mercy''
