Why aren't discussions on /mu/ as good as discussions on Tim Allen's website's message board?

the superior mind
what is the best song in the best tim allen movie, /moo/?
I think Talk Talk may actually unironically be my favorite band ever. Their early stuff i.e. The Party's Over and It's My Life is basically god tier 80's shit, progressing to the Colour of Spring which is basically a bit more experimental versions of what they were doing before which makes it ever better, then of course Spirit of Eden which has influenced countless bands such as GY!BE and Sigur Ros, ending with their magnum opus, Laughing Stock, which is the most perfect of perfect albums for me. I cannot name one thing wrong about this band. Thoughts?
ok

i agree, except for the part that LS > SoE
This thread is for good rock music that has come out in 2017
I know you guys are scared of loud guitars so I'll be gentle
All Them Witches. Psychedelic / americana with a little Pixies loud/soft/loud thrown in
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mTl_Pn6OqWw
The Grand Astoria. The concept of this "EP" (it's 29 minutes) is that they used a different fuzz pedal on each song.
Treat this one like it's krautrock and let the monotonous groove do its thing.
https://thegrandastoria.bandcamp.com/track/pocket-guru
The Devil and the Almighty Blues. I'm not well familiar with these guys but it's long traditional 70s metal type stuff, thick tone tube amps, 7+ minute songs, predictable structures, 2 guitars at all times.

This new one is more straightforward rock while SWB is more experimental.

I finally listened to this meme a couple weeks ago while driving. I listened to it again today at the airport, and then on the plane. I had no idea, /mu/. I assumed it was absurd art rock with zero enjoyability. But it's not. I laughed and I cried. It's incredible. Maybe it's just because I too had an inexplicable and intense crush on Anne Frank as an adolescent. Whatever it is, I can't believe I avoided this for so long and I just want to let it be known.
If anyone else had avoided this for the obvious reasons, give it a shot. It really is something.
I approve this thread.
wholesome thread

Does anybody else on here see musical notes or chords as different colors? For example, every chord I play on my guitar has its own color that's somehow assigned itself unconsciously.
Feel free to share some insight, personal experience, etc.
>inb4 autism
bump for interest
Well this one is more game related, I began playing real guitar after playing guitar hero for the first time, and while adapting myself for the guitar, I noticed that almost each note had a color
a G was normally green and yellow
an A was red
a C was blue
and E as Green
not really exciting just something I got from this experience.
Autims
No, but my mind does assign colors to periods of time for some reason. Like each month and each decade for example have their own colors in my head.
