I think Talk Talk may actually unironically be my favorite band ever. Their early stuff i.e. The Party's Over and It's My Life is basically god tier 80's shit, progressing to the Colour of Spring which is basically a bit more experimental versions of what they were doing before which makes it ever better, then of course Spirit of Eden which has influenced countless bands such as GY!BE and Sigur Ros, ending with their magnum opus, Laughing Stock, which is the most perfect of perfect albums for me. I cannot name one thing wrong about this band. Thoughts?

I love Talk Talk, too, OP. If you haven't checked it out, you should read Spirit of Talk Talk, which is a great book on the band's history. I think you would enjoy it.

They're miles behind the last two and Mark Hollis s/t, so it's understandable. The first 2 albums are basically just better versions of the top synthpop of the time, and Colour of Spring would be a top album for anyone else.
