She's already penned the pop masterpiece of the decade. Not very likely to be forgotten.
Bands like Mr. Bungle are literally the sonic equivalent of that stupid idiot from high school who went around saying "hahaha I'm too crazy already I don't need drugz to be nuts hahhaa xD see how crazy I am" then did something like start shoving a banana up his ass in the middle of the lunch room or standing up in the middle of class and saying the word "Fart" really fucking loud or something to demonstrate the he was quirky when in fact he was just a huge attention whore who tried way too fucking hard to look weird because mommy and daddy either gave him too much attention when he was a child or too little. How can people not listen to this and not go "holy fucking shit if these people think this either sounds good or think it's 'interesting' in some way they're even worse than noise artists, because at least those people are aware they're just being provocative for the sake of it but this avant-metal/post-prog/spazzcore idiots actually think they're breaking new ground in rock n roll or proving themselves in some way to be musical genisues"
Seriously if you want musical genius listen to real innovators; Schaeffer, Adorno, Sun Ra, Stockhausen, Fripp, Davis, Eno, and so on, don't waist your time with this caffeine-addicted psuedo-hipster 14 year old who probably still likes metalcore and deathcore "ironically" and has just discovered the bands that influenced Dillinger Escape Plan which aren't shitty hardcore or metal
What's the best Mr. Bungle song and why is it Ars Moriendi?

GET THIS RACIST MEME OUT OF THIS BOARD
dumb frogposter
>>73122342
This but with albums. An album can be three hours long and be great. But usually once an album gets passed fifty minutes, there are a few unnecessary tracks that bring it down in quality.
good god I hate this cunt and talentless meme artists like him
yeah
can't wait for this mumble rap fad to pass

literally who?
Does /mu/ like Elton John?
No I think all degenerates should be executed.
I used to proudly rep him even though I didn't actually listen to him because I thought it made it seem like I appreciated musical craftsmanship.
But I think I just kinda' don't like his sound. The 70's version of 50's retro really bugs me, I think.

I, um...
I think "Modern Love" is one of David Bowie's best songs.
literal pleb opinion
I haven't heard a single Bowie song save for the one with Mick Jagger.

You literally have. You are just forgetting it's by Bowie.

all good choices, diary is probably my favorite though
What are some alright mainstream nostalgia albums of the 00s? Been enjoying Paramore lately much in part to the feeling intrinsic to being a teen back at the time, even if I didn't listen them much back then. Stuff like The Killers, Katy Perry, Green Day, etc.
>>73121916
The Killers first two albums are great. I don't dislike a single paramore album. But some are mediocre. Riot's my favorite. The White Stripe, the Strokes, and Interpol were really good. Audioslave, the first two Foo Fighters' albums and wasting light, and QOTSA were really good mainstream rock.
Not counting their first album, The All-American Rejects are consistently pretty fun. I like how they play with different instruments in different songs, with stuff like organs, xylophones, pizzicato strings, bowed strings, horns, and even one song on their last album played with a live orchestra.
blink-182 and sum 41, too. Forgot to mention them.
>>73121977
Yeah, stuff like this, thanks. Relistening the first two The Killers one, they're okay but have some genuine great moments, kind of about to make the songs great but they never quite get there. I like all of Paramore albums a lot for some reason, I find them to be the best out of this type of very "basic" mainstream scene (as opposed to Interpol or The Strokes which have more indie cred).
>>73122002
Thanks, never heard them.
I'm particularly interested on emo acts like Taking Back Sunday or My Chemical Romance (not that much emo sound on anything after their debut but you get the idea).
