This wasn't as depressing as I expected, still a 10/10 though.
What are some actual sad, soul-crushing albums?

Went to a house show last week hosted at a coworkers house. Three local bands playing. Some band called "Richard Simmonz" played first. Singer was too drunk/high to sing and drummer was doing lines before playing so he was playing too fast during the set. They suck. Crowd gets angry and someone breaks a beer bottle over the singers head. I leave after stuffing my backpack with vegan pizza and PBR.
>3/10
Saw Car Seat Headrest a few days ago. They sounded great besides the vocals which were pretty muddy and quiet, but it was overall pretty disappointing. all but 2 songs he played were from Teens of denial (1 was a cover), which isn't an album I'm super big on in the first place. Not to mention, when he did play the one song not from Teens of denial, everybody stopped paying attention and just started talking to each other, only to get back into it when he went back into the TOD songs, and these two girls behind me kept making these memey jokes about fidlar and shit the whole time. Plus the lighting effects were way too intense, and he didn't even go on until 11:30 or so (show started at 10:45, opener was pretty decent too)
generous 6/10

Got drunk and then met up with friends at another bar. It was a good time.
was it kino?
>>73205126
No, but In Keeping Secrets and The Second Stage Turbine Blade were. To me, Good Apollo v1 was kind of like Coheed extract. You have a lot of short and simple songs through out the album, and then at the very end you have 4 tracks all roughly 7 minutes in length. These last four tracks being the "real album" but they're just...not that good.
ps. Welcome Home sucks and I have no idea how that's Coheed's most popular song.
>>73205164
Welcome Home is pretty epic bruh.
Personally I think Silent Earth is better.
>>73205215
It's not "pretty epic", it's cringy. An epic Coheed and Cambria song would be In Keeping Secrets, or Neverender. I know this album is fueled by Claudio's relationship problems but jesus man, write some better lyrics if you want to get your point across.
How can you call yourself a music enthusiast when you use plebeian speakers?
I don't call myself a music enthusiast, it would be extremely gay to do so
Actual question, I've been trying to figure this out forever.
Can someone ID these speakers?
I remember finding out what they were once and that they're expensive as fuck, but I forget the name of them/brand.

My friend unironically listens to Death Grips, vaporwave, and lo-fi hip hop. How do I convert him to good music?
>>73204615
why do you give a fuck what your friend listens to
Listening to hip hop is a sign of immaturity, just leave him be and wait for him to grow up.
>>73204615
could be worse, just start showing him stuff you like
>do you want to know a secret

And these are only the songs from their early period.
How short of a time period are we talking? That will vary my answer.
